So many nil picks...

The milk truck was supposed to come last night, and it didn't. Then it was supposed to come at 6 AM, and it didn't. Then they said 9 AM - which is right before I took this pic. Now they're saying "it'll be here at 2."

I've never had to hit "item not found" so many times consecutively. Hopefully it doesn't get me in trouble.

Computer Won't Connect To Wifi, But Connects To Hotspot

Full situation: I'm in a new apartment. The router for the apartment(s) is literally right outside my apartment door. My laptop can connect to it, my phone can connect to it, but my work computer can't. It can SEE it, and see other networks, but fails to connect.

I can't go messing with the router itself. That router supplies the internet connection to all of us on this floor, and while I can physically access it, I don't want to. Messing with something that isn't technically mine sounds like a good way to get in trouble with management. (That and I'm certain it's not the router at fault.)

I do know that (supposedly), the motherboard has built-in WiFi capabilities, but if it does they're terrible. I can't move the computer closer because the entrance is a hallway - no space for a desk.

The computer does connect to my phone hotspot just fine, but compared to my laptop it's very slow and struggles to stay connected. The laptop has no issues that don't come from being a dinosaur of a machine. Phone performs flawlessly.

I attempted updates, restarting, forgetting then readding the network, nothing seems to make much of a change. I'm not against getting a new adapter if need be. I just can't hook up an ethernet cable for obvious reasons.

The motherboard is B550 Aorus Elite AX V2. The wifi router is a Netgear, don't know much more than that. It's got 2.4 and 5G.

Is there any possible way to troubleshoot it without touching the router? Would it be better to get an adapter? Or hell, if there's a way to use my phone to connect it to the wifi I'll do that, I'm not picky.

LGBT And (Soon-To-Be) Homeless -- Looking For Resources

Fled Texas to Illinois to try and get a new start, but things didn't work out. Turns out the job market is ass no matter where you are.

Since I have to be out by the end of June, I need to find a place to stay short-term, preferably where I can get assistance finding work. Lots of low income housing around here, but it's all useless to me without a job. I'm pretty much down for anything, scrubbing floors included.

The only other option is to move to Florida -- and my father's made it plainly clear, in text, I should show up expecting to detransition and 'choose gay or straight, not both'. Mom's pissed at him, but she has no money to help assist me.

I'm not picky about where in Illinois I end up. Shit I'll even go to another state nearby. I just picked Illinois because it's a sanctuary state for people like me. Just as long as where I go has a job I can get, or will help me get one, I'll sleep on someone's floor.

No former license -- Illinois ID Question

I'll just skip the details: I fled Texas and made it to Illinois, but lost my ID during the trip. I have my social security card, but credit cards, other IDs, nada. Can't use my passport to get around, it's expired.

Is it possible to just do the written/driving test and get a REAL ID without a permanent address? If it means I owe a fine, then fine, I just need a license so when I finally find a job and a place I'm not breaking the law just to get to work.

(Side question: Should I just wait until I have a permanent address? I don't exactly have anywhere I need to be, so if I need to wait that's fine. I wasn't sure if it was worth getting an IL license because I have no idea what my living arrangement will be in the coming months and I might have to hop somewhere else. Still don't know. But I really want to stay here, if it's at all possible.)
