Why do Illinois politicians keep giving die-hard White Sox fan Pope Leo Cubs stuff?

Nobody would ever walk up to Bill Murray and give him Sox crap, it would be rightfully laughed at. This stuff is just cringe.

Flock cameras going up at dispensaries

I frequent Altius dispensary in Orland Hills. Today I popped in to pick up and noticed a new addition. A brand new flock camera on the property of Joey’s Red Hots. This camera is not facing out over 159th street, it is pointed directly at Joeys drive thru and the dispensary parking lot right next door. When I asked the dispensary workers about it, they didn’t even know it went up. I walked out with their manager to show him and saw his unease about it. I also called Joeys. If you live in the area you should too. But any way this is just a warning because it seems posting these up to point at dispensaries is the latest flocking trend. You’re probably being tracked everywhere already but now they are preparing to take notes on what you’re buying too.

PSA: Flock Cameras in Illinois

Flock has access to ring cameras and are invading your privacy. We waste tax dollars on these and pay an absurd subscription fee on these.

JB Pritzker allows flock and AI and surveillance data centers to built using our tax dollars. He has not made a single statement regarding flock and has no interest in removing them from Illinois.

We need to stop funding incredibly unproductive and wasteful things like this. We've already wasted more than 15 billion of Illinois tax dollars on AI and surveillance data centers. Let your alders, local reps and our senators know that you want them to stop wasting tax dollars on your surveillance and replacing your jobs.

Taxpayer Waste and Biohazard Negligence at Broadview ICE Detention Center

Federal taxpayer dollars are funding massive catering contracts for the Broadview ICE detention center in Illinois. Video evidence reveals dozens of unopened catered meals being tossed into open dumpsters, mixed directly alongside used DNA testing kits and biohazard medical waste.

Why is ICE over ordering and trashing fresh provisions from Nimbus Kitchen while completely ignoring both federal and Illinois Good Samaritan Food Donor Acts?

The facility is choosing to dump perfectly edible provisions into open refuse containers alongside potentially hazardous Bode Technology DNA testing supplies. This demonstrates a complete failure in basic operational oversight and waste management.

Read the full forensic breakdown and view the evidence docket here: https://www.eyesonice.net/p/taxpayer-waste-and-biohazard-negligence

Visiting central and southern Illinois in early to mid October

Greetings from West Texas!

I'm plotting a trip in early to mid October to see more of Illinois than just Chicago for the first time. Looking for tips on accommodations,, eats (no meat), and things to do.

I'm planning on flying in between 10/7 and 10/9. I want to visit Sr. Louis first to go to the zoo, aquarium, and Jeff Goldblum concert at Powell Hall (10/9).

After STL, I'll be going into Illinois. I'll take a day trip to Peoria 10/13 to visit the zoo and see Weird Al in concert. I'll ultimately leave most likely 10/14.

I'm between, I'll go to Henson Robinson Zoo, Social Zoo, Miller Park Zoo, the Capitol at Springfield, and the Abraham Lincoln sites in Springfield.

I'm into animals, nature, baseball, hockey, trains, history, and any quaint and quirky local attractions and events.

Might stay in Springfield, Bloomington, or Normal to be centrally located.

Considering flying into and out of STL, O'Hare, Midway airports and renting a car for just the Illinois stuff. Looking to save money on transportation and accomodations (Air BNB a room, not a whole place).

Thanks a lot!

Former Partners Accuse Embattled Hospital Owner of Siphoning Revenue For Personal Gain

This is the same guy who owns Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City - the hospital that owes over 600k to the water company, over 250k to electric, wasn't paying employees or vendors, turning ambulances away from the E.R., etc. But everyone is out to get him. It's a conspiracy across several states, businesses, C-suite execs, employees, and probably big foot and the mothman, too.
