I’m a Japanese citizen currently considering Sweden as one of my possible relocation options in the future.

I’m looking into the self-employed residence permit / entrepreneur route.

One thing I noticed is that, compared to countries like Canada or the US, I can hardly find many immigration consultants or visa support companies in Sweden.

In North America, there seem to be many agencies helping with business immigration, startup visas, etc.

So I’m curious:

In Sweden, is it more common for people to handle the process themselves?
Or do people usually hire immigration lawyers / consultants for self-employed residence permits?

I’d also appreciate hearing from people who actually went through the process themselves.
