This camera was great to learn on when I was a teenager, but I want to level up my setup now and transform so that it's more compatible with film. I'm taking mostly videos now, and want to level up my setup so it's higher quality and looks more cinematic. The current lens seems cheap and too flat??

I want high resolution, cinematic quality with dynamic range.

Should I buy a whole New DSLR? will my T2i not make the cut? will a new lens bring a whole new perspective?
