I do love a wildly creative conspiracy theory

I noticed none of the URC teams played the high ball. The Bulls last night had very few high balls and box kicks. This is despite the fact that they usually play that style. Same with the Stormers and Sharks. They seemed to want to run it from anywhere. Which isn't what the Boks are gonna do (and shouldn't be).

Now. Here comes my wild imagination. I know NZ would've wanted to use these 3 games as preparation for the high ball. So they were probably hoping to be tested a bit. And they never were.

What if, just maybe.. this was deliberate by the domestic sides. To not give NZ too much preparation for what they can expect on Saturday???? I know it's a reach but its fun to ponder 😂

I'm getting tired of this kick and hope style of play

I know this is an unpopular opinion. I also understand that the high ball is our game and its a good way of regaining possession.

But honestly guys. Its boring and predictable. Argentina played with a C team and looked much more threatening with ball in hand. The AB's are also playing an exciting brand of rugby even if it has errors. To be honest, last night, if we're not kicking it our backline looked clueless with what to do with the ball.

Boland running circles around the Strormers XXIII

I mean, well done to Boland they were superb and they play a nice attacking brand of rugby.

But honestly, is the Currie Cup a competition the Stormers are taking seriously? Because shipping 40 points without any answer is embarrassing, even with an inexperienced team.

Should Luan Giliomee be called up as a late inclusion for the final?

With the news that he's been cleared, I wonder if he'll get a late call up. He's easily one of the most valuable players in the team. Or will the coaching team stick to the side already named?

Can Vusi Moyo make the match 23 against Wales?

Rassie said in his post match interview that the team v Wales will be a mix of younger players and more experienced ones. But that he'll like to have more caps on the field than Wales, unlike the Scotland game.

It made me wonder. I thought Vusi off the bench would be a nice fixture for him to get him into test match rugby. But given the little scare Rassie got yesterday with the lack of experience, I wonder if he's gonna risk it. Might go back to Manie, Handre or even Quan. Or should the young lad just continue carrying the tackle bags for now till the time is right?

Vusi and Riley, where would you rather be?

Its an interesting discussion. If you were in the shoes of the young lads, where would you prefer being right now?

Playing in a world championship with an awesome shot of winning the tournament and playing a starring role in it. Or being in the Springbok squad (which is awesome because the Boks are the number 1 team in the world) but probably unlikely to get a lot of game time, if any at all.

Also what's better for their own development? I see a lot of debate online since the squads were announced and from what I've seen,, there doesn't seem to be consensus on this one.

Bulls getting outrun

We've become so used to a particular style of play in South Africa. No one runs the ball anymore. 9 puts it in the air. 10 puts it in the air. 15 doesn't counter attack, he puts it in the air. And I think the Bulls were expecting Leinster to do the same. But Leinster have been running every ball and that Bulls defence just wasn't ready for it or expecting it.

Can we go back to the white away kit next season please?

I dont know. Maybe it's a personal preference and I'm alone on this one 🤣 But I genuinely can't stand that green jersey. Blue at home. White away. That's the stormers colours I'm used to.

Thoughts on the above the sternum high tackle rule?

I've been following the U20 Rugby Championships where they are trying out a new law that any tackle above the sternum is penalized as a high tackle.

I understand player safety, but I'm not a fan of the law. 1.Considering that the ball gets carried at that height, its almost unlikely to attack the ball in the tackle. 2. Above the steenum does not cause any major injury risk to a player (although I can understand the point might be to change behavior). 3. If you're a good defensive team, you're probably not going to be able to get a dominant tackle in any more or tackle a player backwards. I just think the bar is starting to get impractical now.

I hope it doesn't get introduced to senior rugby but I'm curious to hear everyone else's thoughts.

Hi everyone. I'm planning on buying tickets to the knockout games for the World Cup in Sydney. I've never been to the Accor Stadium so I want to know how bad are the cheap seats? Like if I buy category 6 tickets, will I actually able to see any rugby or am I just looking at dots on moving on a pitch lol. OK, I'm exaggerating but you know what I mean.
