Replacing rocker and lifters
Hello everyone, recently my 2010 a4 2.0t just gave out while i was going home from school. I stoped at a stop light then started driving to about 20mph when it started bogging out, blinking chexk engine, then finally stalled. Tried starting again and it cranked but never started untill i pressed on the pas pedal. When it did start it sounded terrible then died again. After towing back to my house took it apart to find a lifter completely broken and tilted over. Took out the HPFP and looked like oil was in the housing. Came to the conclusion that the PVC, HPFP, and lifter and roller arm is bad. I would like to fix all of this without removing cams and having to do anything with the timing chain but im not sure if that is possible, I would like some advice this being my first time working on this engine. Anything would be greatly appreciated!
