If someone clears a subject through makeup/re-registration, how does it reflect later in ERP/results?

Some people told me:

- the makeup result appears separately,

- separate grade card may be issued,

- and the original semester result may still show the earlier grade initially.

While others told me:

- the ERP eventually updates with the latest cleared result/status and revised SGPA.

Also, is there any difference between:

- someone clearing makeup immediately in the next cycle,

vs

- someone clearing after 1–2 semesters/year later?

Like does the ERP/result handling or grade card process differ in those cases?

Would appreciate recent experiences, especially under the newer ERP system. Thanks.
