My mom beat cancer during the pandemic
Six years ago, during the pandemic, my mom was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. it was one of the scariest periods of our lives. What makes me emotional even now is that she had to go through so much of it without having her family physically beside her. travel restrictions were strict, flights were limited, and being there in person simply wasn't possible at the time. we could only support her through calls, messages, and prayers. Despite all that, she kept fighting. appointment after appointment, treatment after treatment, she never gave up. today she is a survivor, and i honestly could not be more proud of her. she showed a level of strength that i hope i can have someday.
Whenever life gets difficult, i think about what she went through and how she made it to the other side. <333
