Finally, we're picking the most iconic quote of the Queen of Blades!

A little reminder for the specifics of the Queen of Blades round:

Any iteration of Queen of Blades counts, both the original and primal QoB. Kaldir and Char missions of HotS were previously attributed to human Kerrigan, so these don't count. I don't want to explicitly prohibit Xel'Naga Kerrigan, but I suggest this would be against the spirit of the zerg episode and therefore would rather prefer LotV epilogue ignored.

Now's the time a lot of people were waiting for! A few words of clarification for the Queen of Blades round:

Hey guys, as promised, I'm back with the zerg episode!

For those who haven't seen these posts before, I'm making charts with the Best, Worst and Most Iconic quotes of StarCraft characters that get decided by people in the comments. People are generally free to decide for themselves what these categories mean. There aren't any specific rules or limitations, unless they're specifically outlined in the post for a given character.

Follow this link to find the results of first episode, including convenient reference to all the previous posts.

With that out of the way, we're ready to proceed to Episode 2, which is dedicated to zerg characters. And we're starting with the best quotes of everyone's favourite leader of the Swarm: the Overmind itself!

Thank you all for voting, suggesting, ranting, reminiscing and participating in any and every other way!

I'm glad these posts were so positively received. People really took a chance to discuss and share their experiences of this game's story, and I was happy to provide it.

As I mentioned before, I want to do the Zerg Episode next, unless you guys all suddenly decide against it xd But in any event, I want to take at least a week's break before I get started with it. Stay tuned for that!

And for now, I invite you to share some feedback. Would you prefer if I posted less often, say every second day instead of every day? Would you like to vote for the character you get next? Hey everyone! Our Terran episode of StarCraft quotes draws to a close, but I decided to sneak just a little more fun in. Following u/Phil9151's suggestion, I'm implementing a bonus Wildcard round for terran characters.

So what the hell's that about?

Wildcard posts don't have a predetermined character. They're intended for quotes of any characters who didn't make it to the original chart. Any terran character goes, including game units, book and other extended media characters, as well as characters that only briefly appear in any of the cinematics.

Just make sure to not post any quotes from the characters in the original chart or from Stukov, who will yet get his time to shine on the zerg episode!

This is not really intended as a "best-terran-quote-ever" kind of post, though if this is what you want to suggest by all means go for it! But more so it's an opportunity for you guys to share your beloved (and hated) quotes of all the characters that I couldn't fit in the original chart. Now's the time to bring out all those Horners, Swanns and Toshes!

I know it's gonna be a tough decision and it's gonna break some hearts, but today we have to pick the most sloppy quote of general Edmund Duke!

Hey again, folks! One Terran character is all done, just seven more to go, keep it up! Today we're picking the best quote for Sarah Kerrigan.

Note: since it's a Terran episode, please provide quotes for human Kerrigan — pre-infestation and in between her de-infestation and turning Primal in HotS. Queen of Blades will be a separate character of a Zerg episode!

(Since HotS has variable mission order, for the purposes of these treat all Kaldir and Char missions of HotS, as well as everything before Supreme, as quotes of human Kerrigan)

Now, perceptive among you might've also noticed the list of Terran characters has shrunk a little. Vice Admiral Stukov has indeed departed from our ranks, but fear not, he'll be back with us later, just with a little more Zerg in his hair. I've found that the list of Terran characters is long enough as it is, while Zerg characters are much harder to come by, so I've decided to put him into the next episode, and it's totally not just my excuse for bringing Duke's voting day closer any way I can.

Hey everyone! Inspired by similar posts in r/Grimdank, r/masseffect and perhaps other places I haven't seen, I've decided to put together a table to document the community's opinions on the best, worst and the most iconic quotes of StarCraft characters! Drop your opinions in the comments, and next time I post the prevalent one will be featured in the table.

Just be mindful of readability, the quotes best fit into about 30 words, if you'll upvote Zeratul's mile-long rants, I'll have to crop them xd

I'm starting with Terran characters and will later do Zerg and Protoss ones as well if these posts will be well-recieved.

What 'Best', 'Worst' and 'Most Iconic' means exactly is kept intentionally vague, but a good rule of thumb to differentiate between Best and Iconic is that Iconic quotes are the ones the characters are best known for. For example, "Hell, it's about time" is very strongly associated with Tychus so it easily qualifies for Iconic quote, but it's not the most profound statement he's ever said so it's not necessarily a good fit for the Best one.
