Zerg is SO SO broken!

3 zergs in the semifinals. Intern won again!

Clem barely beat Reynor who plays a lot of LoL and lost 6-0 to Serral. Perhaps the intern should look at this and think about the larva buff. A weaker early game due to 8 worker start should not be compensated by a larva change that benefits the zerg from the beginning to the end. Clem played decently and made several mistakes throughout the game. But the swarminess was quite noticable. Without the widow mine buff, clem would have lost earlier and uglier. You can make a race to be swarmy without removing the identity of the two races. Warp gate rework was a huge mistake.

That zerg spike recently should be a tell.

Top 20 ladder now

Top 20 ladder previous season.

herO's zerg is top 20 in the ladder. What are we doing?

Map pool appreciation post.

I'm very impressed at how far map creation has come along from the early days of Legacy. My personal favorites this pool are Blackrock, Washout and Old Sun Temple. If we were still on the same quality of maps as 2016 I think the experience would have been much worse.

Keep up the good work!

How to anti spellcasters, battlecruisers, etc with co-op jim?

I know that spider mines and siege tanks are effective but they can be very micro heavy and if you are attacks enemy base and enemy launches attack they are not so effective. If there's only couple spell casters you can just suicide couple units to them and the spell casters will waste their energy on them, well if you get close practically. On map Walfare I had protoss opponent with alot of archons and other spell casters it completely devastated my army and I found it too difficult to use spidermines and siegetanks against them because on that map building static defenses is somewhat difficult because you gotta move your army alot. Of course you can rebuild your army multiple times and should but there's still limit. Other common issue is battlecruisers, good anti for them is to make some vikings they are effective but not effective enough since it can take ages to take them down. Battle cruisers are not as big of a issue as spellcasters imo. Is there any other common issue that Jimmy players face? Tell your thoughts below.

Where is WhiteRa's book?

According to the kickstarter timeline, the book was supposed to be delivered between January and March of this year, we're now nearing the end of first week of july and not a single update since december 22nd of last year.

Quite a few people found it suspicious how whitera's viewership was at ~2,000 when he came back specifically for his funding period, and then when it stopped, his viewership never got remotely close during any of his other recent streams up to april. did whitera rugpull the community for nearly 30k euro?

hotkey QoL

Some suggestions, while we have the intern's attention:

  • Select All Production -- warpin hotkey is mostly useless now that hotkeying gates all game is required for toss. Replace it with a select all production button that works for all races.
  • Remove From All Groups -- steal units from all groups, without adding them to another.
  • More control groups -- 11, 12 at least

What else do we need?

How do we feel about Terran right now?

4.5k Terran here. My honest read after playing the ladder on the new patch:

Zerg is too strong. They used to have to choose between drones and army, now they just get both. My hot take : Z was already performing better than the other races in PTR1.

I’m not sure about TvP. I feel like P can be strong in the early game, but I have to play some more to be sure.

As for Terran: the builds feel clunky with the 8 worker start, and overall the race feels weak.

Am I coping or do others see it too? Spicy takes welcome.

Which factory vehicles do you think require the most skills to pilot/crew?

Vultures seem pretty hard, you're driving a fast bike around while shooting grenades.

Hellions are probably similar, but the weapon seems to require less precision.

Diamonbacks are slower but they shoot while moving so that's another challenge.

Tanks I imagine is easier since there's probably more than one person in there.

Goliaths and Thors are pretty awkward in their movement so I imagine they're challenging to manoeuvre around.

Cyclones, Widow Mines and Predators just drive themselves I think.

All these new Crazy game changing patches but WHERES THE PATCH TO PUNISH SMURF ACCOUNTS FROM LEAVING GAMES?

Imagine you’re a new player Jimmy in gold league, you’ve just herd about the new patch and que some games but you suddenly get absolutely decimated and have no idea why… eventually Jimmy quits..its frustrating

This is and has been a huge problem in the game for years. it happens in all leagues most around diamond league tho. heres a link to a reddit post i made a couple years ago. They’re shameless: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/s/uaaFiTeTXI

Time out players for leaving games within the first minute x amount of times in a row.

This is a feature thats existed in competitive games since before SC2!

but sure dw about it for 2 decades.. keep adjusting the values of seamingly pointless things

I was and still am keen to grind again this patch but i know I’m going to eventually be -200mmr one day then sweat my ass off in a 40m game and lose just to find out bro is actually a M1 or GM
