Help with breast milk and pumping needed

Hello world,

So me and my wife had our first new born lqst march, since he was a preemie he stayed in the NICU for sometimes, they introduced the bottle to him at first which made him not latch to his mom when he was out, he had jaundice and they said when he is fed and after some time it will fade away so we went back home and my wife tried breastfeeding and when he didn't latch or he did and didn't suck too much we felt he wasn't taking enough and jaundice increased instead of fading away so he went back to the NICU for treatment.

After few days we took him home and my wife started pumping milk and giving it to him in the bottle since he didn't latch on to her and he was fatigued all the time and couldn't suck properly.

The first pump was a weak one so we had to replace it with the momcosy s12, this one worked better but my wife went into some kind of depression because she was sad that her baby doesn't latch on to her, after a while she stopped eating properly and when i come home after work i find her without lunch nor anything even water she didn't drank a lot.

As a consequence, her milk started fading away because she didn't pump consistently and the kid was fussy all the time, she said i didn't have time, now it is about a month since she stopped pumping, and we want to give it a try once again so our question is can she regain her milk if she pumps, and do we need another more powerful pump since she said that a more powerful pump would be better and i saw an article about a woman who regained her milk after 3 months of stop.

Can you help me help my wife in this situation ?

Thank you in advance people of reddit always helpful.
