Clutch pedal sticking to floor after bleeding clutch fluid.
My slave cylinder is currently on its way out, Ive ordered a new one but its going to take a bit. Since it is failing I thought to change the fluid as it was pretty gross. Keep in mind the clutch worked more or less perfectly fine before hand.
So I drained all the old fluid out then I put fresh fluid in the reservoir and did the standard hose with a bottle method that the shop manual says to use. Ive been bleeding it and no air bubbles are coming out but the pedal isn't becoming firm.
I also tried doing the thing were you pump the pedal a couple times hold it against the floor (but in my case I don't need to hold it, it just stays there) then opening the bleeding screw, and have the fluid rush out, then close it and repeat. Didn't work.
I get the issue could be caused by my failing slave cylinder, but then why was it working before?
I'm not sure what to do so any help would be much appreciated.
