The 25% crafting RNG is absolutely ridiculous

The crafting system is honestly one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in an MMO.

Why do I have to gamble with a 25% chance just to progress to the next item tier?

For example, if I want to craft a Yellow glove, I first need to craft a Blue glove and hope it turns Yellow with a 25% chance.

And it doesn't stop there.

You have to start from White → Green → Blue → Yellow, with the same kind of RNG involved at each step.

So basically:

Craft White → 25% chance to get Green
Craft Green → 25% chance to get Blue
Craft Blue → 25% chance to get Yellow

And if you fail, you just go back to farming materials and try again.

What the hell is this? 😂

This isn't a crafting system.

I honestly don't understand what the developers were thinking. They seem to have done everything they possibly could to make players quit the game.

I don't mind grinding. I don't mind farming materials. But when you make the entire progression depend on a ridiculous 25% RNG chance at every stage, the player's time and effort become almost meaningless.

Crafting should reward effort and investment, not make you pray to RNGesus every single time.

How do you play Ball when your team can't capitalize on your backline pressure?

Hi Ballers..

I'm trying to improve my Wrecking Ball gameplay and I feel like I've hit a point where I don't really know what the correct decision is in these situations.

I usually engage the enemy backline with a Roll Through, get the supports to turn around and focus me, and then disengage before committing too hard. My thinking is that if I have 1-2 supports looking at me, my team should have an advantage in the frontline.

But quite often, my team doesn't capitalize on it. Instead, our tank/DPS get pressured and die while I'm busy distracting the enemy supports.

Here's an example from a recent game. I went 13-3-5, but the enemy tank went 22-2 and their DPS were also getting a lot of kills. I spent quite a bit of the game pressuring their backline, but my team was still losing the frontline.

So what should I actually be doing in this situation?

Should I:

  • Keep pressuring the enemy supports and trust my team to eventually capitalize?
  • Leave the backline earlier and start disrupting the enemy tank/DPS instead?
  • Play more of a "soft engage" style with Roll Through and only commit with Slam when my team is ready?
  • Or is this mainly a team problem and there's not much I can do as Ball?

I understand most of Ball's basic mechanics, so I'm mainly looking for advice on decision-making, target priority and engage/disengage timing rather than mechanical tips.

Any Ball mains willing to explain how you would approach this situation would be really appreciated.
