How much money have you saved to use in Aion 2 launch?

Or in general, how much money do you plan on spending in the first 6 months?

AION 2 Elementalist / Spiritmaster Feedback & Rework Suggestion

I think the current Elementalist design in Aion 2 has a major identity problem and lacks build freedom compared to what many Spiritmaster players expected.

Right now, the class feels too dependent on Elemental Fusion.

Because Elemental Fusion requires:

  • Fire Spirit
  • Water Spirit
  • Wind Spirit
  • Earth Spirit

players are forced to reserve 5 skill slots just to use the class’ strongest core mechanic.

This creates several problems:

  • very limited build diversity
  • lack of flexibility in PvP/PvE
  • spirits feel like prerequisites instead of actual companions
  • the class feels more like a generic burst mage
  • not enough room for DoTs, curses, utility, or control skills

Many players expected the Spiritmaster/Elementalist to be:

  • a sustained DPS class
  • focused on DoTs and debuffs
  • tactical positioning and kiting
  • elemental combinations
  • and meaningful spirit interactions

Instead, most current skills feel heavily focused on initial burst damage, while DoTs only exist as weak side effects.

Suggested Rework Direction

A possible solution would be to integrate elemental spirits directly into elemental skills.

Example:

  • Fire skills automatically summon a Fire Spirit
  • Water skills automatically summon a Water Spirit
  • Wind skills automatically summon a Wind Spirit
  • Earth skills automatically summon an Earth Spirit

The spirits could:

  • attack automatically
  • apply additional effects
  • strengthen DoTs/debuffs
  • or empower Elemental Fusion interactions

This would solve multiple issues at once:

Benefits

  • frees up multiple skill slots
  • improves build diversity
  • makes spirits feel meaningful again
  • creates smoother combat flow
  • strengthens class identity
  • supports a true DoT/control playstyle
  • keeps the class modern and action-oriented

Elemental Fusion could then interact dynamically with currently active elemental spirits instead of requiring dedicated spirit skills in the skill bar.

This system would feel much more natural and closer to the original Spiritmaster identity while still fitting AION 2’s faster combat style.

new player wondering about the game

heard about this game potentially getting an actual global server and was wondering how the gameplay loop is like (dailies/weeklies/etc), no need to sugarcoat anything, what do i actually need to do (aside from hard swiping) to have a competitive edge in this game endgame content (against anything that isn't an actual whale)?

i'm a lost ark player, if that helps

Any PVP Updates since launch??

Have we had any pvp updates since launch outside of class changes?

We have a guild system so many expected GvG
Any new updates to open world pvp outside of them adding a flag system which honestly made it not fun during the TW times. Kinda killed the vibe

But since then outside of Battlegrounds/Arena
Have they added anything else yet?

What even is the guild system supposed to be then??

NCSoft’s newest financial reports basically confirm one thing: Aion 2 is carrying the company hard right now

https://www.nc.com/newsroom/news/articles/?articleId=6a03b0f05716f56bbe7ebc8f&boardLanguage=en

To summarize:

Q1 revenue up 55% Year over Year
PC game revenue +210% Year over Year
Executives directly crediting Aion 2 + Lineage Classic for the recovery

What’s interesting is that KR is now openly talking about global expansion plans around Aion 2.

Love it or hate it, Aion 2 went from “NCSoft desperation project” to “the game that saved NCSoft’s earnings”.

The Aion Game Doomers

I genuinely don’t understand it. Every time I hop on this forum, I’ll read a wholesome post from someone actually enjoying Aion 2… then immediately see the same game doomers flooding the comments spreading hate nonstop.

If you hate the game that much, already decided you’re never spending money on it, and keep announcing you’re “done with the game” every single week… why are you still here? At that point just leave the subreddit, divorce the b!tch, and go play WoW 🥴

Aion 2 – A fresh perspective from someone who never played the first one

Hey! How's everyone doing? I honestly never played Aion because I never had a decent PC to run it, and now that I can, I'd love to try Aion 2. But the problem is all the negative comments about the game.

I watched reviews of the first one and while some are positive, most of them tear the game apart, which kills my motivation to even try getting into the story. And just like with the first game, the comments on Aion 2 don't encourage me to play it either.

I get that there are flaws and it might be P2W, but the toxic commentary isn't helping the devs fix anything. If anything, I think it tips the scales toward the game shutting down early.

Can someone explain Resurrection stones to me?

I'm trying to understand how this mechanic is acceptable. You can just revive in the middle of boss fights with a premium currency item? Is that right or am I hearing things wrong.

That sounds extremely stupid.

Edit: I just want to mention I am actually looking forward to the game, so I was researching some of the features and this one kind of stuck out like a sore thumb

Things I like about Aion2 that People Take for Granted

  1. F2P - pretty self explanatory it means no subscription or no boxed price

  2. Graphics - modern feel 3d realistic MMO with good esthetics and so far good range of character customization and no woke western propaganda.

  3. No forced weapon swapping - I hate forced weapon swapping in MMOs.

  4. Action combat - action combat in this game is really good you should try it and it really utilizes my gaming FPS mouse.

  5. Seamless Open World Zones

  6. Mobile/PC compatible - I can check my account in my Phone while I am at work.

Now I didn't mention what I don't like or people don't like because for me the Pros outweigh the Cons.

And mods of this subreddit please ban or punish all those reddit accounts who attacked me personally. They are breaking the rules of the subreddit.

This sub’s discussion culture is getting exhausting and repetitive

I don’t care what your stance is on KR MMOs, spending money in online games, or grinding in general. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. What stands out here is that the level of toxicity has reached a completely different scale.

Constructive criticism is almost nonexistent. I haven’t seen meaningful critique here in a long time. I genuinely respect anyone who can articulate criticism of NC in a way that actually makes sense. Instead, what dominates is recycled talking points or catchy phrases that get upvoted because they sound funny, like shouting “KR AI SLOP”.

This subreddit has a mix of people. Fans of the original game, people excited for a new MMO, tech enthusiasts curious about how developers will push UE5, casual observers, and yes, also people who are just here to shit.

It feels like there’s a group of users who are simply unhappy and, for whatever reason, feel the need to downplay or ridicule anyone who is genuinely excited about Aion 2. There’s witch hunting, insults, low effort negativity farming for YouTube engagement, and straight up bullying. The worst part is how normalized it becomes over time.

It’s exhausting. Regardless of whether Aion 2 turns out to be a success or a failure, I will remember this subreddit as one of the most toxic parts of the entire experience.

And the funniest part of all this is that you’re shitting on something that has been obvious for years, and not just in Korean games. Because where NCSoft is supposedly failing, you completely ignore the same issue or even praise it in other Western MMOs.
