Free skins for Armor

Is there a good number of free skins or armor in general that looks really cool? Or do you have to rely on the cash shop?

I made community-appraised guides and an interactive map for Aion Classic. I'd like to create guides for Aion2 as well but I don't have the same playtime as in 2009. Wanna help me?

Hello there.

I'm the owner of this channel (Lost knowledge of aion) : https://www.youtube.com/@Easyldur_ and the creator of https://easyaionmaps.com/index.html that I made for the release of Aion Classic.

As a human, I hate competition and I love sharing my knowledge. This is what led me to create guides and an interactive map for Aion Classic as I was saddened when I saw how much of the data from 2010 had disappeared from the web. Most of my knowledge came from 2009/2010, back when I was playing 12h a day as a student.

Now that Aion2 is coming out, I want to go on as creating guides is just something I like to do. Interactive maps are already out, so that one is not on my todo list.

But content creators will farm whatever they can for views. This is not my goal. I want no clickbait, no shit thumbnails. Information and that's it.

My problem lies in the playtime. Since I can't put 12h a day in Aion2, I won't be part of top legions and won't be aware of a lot of things. Even content might be too geared-locked (or skill-locked heh) for me to record my own footage.

If you like my project and care to help me, just leave a message. It'd be cool to have a group of people that I can rely on when my fingers or my brain fail me. Notably, if you're part of one of the legion which are on a discord setting up everything for an optimized launch, I'd be very interested to get footage of the hard content you'll be one of the first "westerner" to do.

What news do you expect to hear on Gamescon on 26th?

What news would you like to hear from their Gamescom presentation? Will it have the global build available for people to try out? Any news about balancing or upcoming events/content after the lunch?

VPN options

Hi all,

I haven’t found anything too recent and wanted to see what VPN services people were currently using? Seems like a few months ago Exitlag and Gear Up both had issues. Is either option any better now? Sounds like a mixed bag of hard time getting connected, lag, and poor customer support?

Hello, quick question for the people that know. How co-op friendly is the game while leveling/basically anything outside dungeons and raids?

Aion 2 Attack Speed and Builds Variants

I used to play Throne and Liberty and really liked the movement, combat and PvP. I played on controller with Crossbow/Dagger, and honestly the movement felt really good. Kiting around people was a lot of fun, even though the combo itself was pretty simple and repetitive, i stopped playing TL a 6 months ago because it kinda lost what made the game fun for me, and now Im really looking forward to Aion 2.

The things that worry me a bit are the build variety and attack speed. It feels like there arent that many build options. For example, if you have two people playing the same class with the same gear/power level, besides Stigmas, is there actually much that can make their builds or playstyles different? also, pretty much everyone seems to have insanely high attack speed. The TTK is definitely much better than in TL, but sometimes I can barely keep up with all the skill spam lmao.

In PvE I don’t really mind it, but in PvP it just looks like complete chaos. For example, when I watch Assassin vs Gladiator, it looks like they just stand in front of each other and spam every button as fast as possible.
you guys think they nerf attack speed at some point? or is PvP actually supposed to be like this? Because from what I seen, it kinda feels like there’s not much room for skill when everything is happening this fast.

Im asking mostly out of curiosity, because I only played the beginning up to level 40, so I might be misunderstanding how the combat works. If it really is like this in the endgame, I’d like to understand where the skill and outplay come in, besides putting together a good build and using one or two defensive skills at the right time.

Why I’m moving from BDO to Aion 2 — please don’t censor or downgrade the cosmetics after launch

I've been playing Black Desert since 2017, and after all these years I think I'm finally ready to move on to another MMO. For me, that game is Aion 2.

And honestly, one of the biggest reasons is something that probably sounds superficial to some people:

I love beautiful character customization and outfits.

That's genuinely a huge part of why I play MMOs.

I enjoy PvP and PvE, but I spend a ridiculous amount of time customizing my character, collecting outfits, taking screenshots, making videos, decorating housing, using different poses, dances and emotes, and basically trying to make my character look as good as possible.

I'm a fashion/customization player.

That's also one of the reasons I'm interested in the Founder’s Pack.

But if Aion 2 wants players like me to continue supporting the game through cosmetics, I really hope NCSoft puts serious effort into the quality of those cosmetics.

I'm not asking for every outfit to be extravagant or revealing. I just want them to be beautiful, detailed, luxurious and well-made.

Aion 2 is using Unreal Engine 5, so I really hope the outfits take advantage of that.

I want to see:

  • High-resolution textures
  • Detailed materials and fabrics
  • Beautiful accessories
  • Good hair and cloth interaction
  • Interesting designs and silhouettes
  • High-quality animations
  • Minimal clipping
  • No obvious missing geometry
  • No transparent/invisible areas caused by broken meshes
  • Consistent quality across the entire outfit

I've encountered some of these problems in BDO over the years. Sometimes parts of an outfit can have clipping, missing geometry, transparent areas, or noticeably lower-resolution textures. And when you're paying a premium price for a cosmetic, those details really matter.

I'd rather have fewer outfits with incredible quality than dozens of outfits that feel rushed or repetitive.

I also really hope Aion 2 doesn't fall into the trap of launching beautiful cosmetics and then gradually changing or censoring them after release.

I'm not against a game having an artistic direction or content standards from the beginning. That's completely understandable.

What bothers me is when a game launches with one artistic vision and then later changes outfits, character designs, animations or other cosmetic elements — especially when the original version remains available in another region.

Consistency matters.

If I'm buying an outfit because I love its design, I want to know that the design I'm buying today won't be significantly changed later.

And I'm not someone who expects cosmetics to be free.

I've spent years collecting cosmetics in MMOs, and I've spent significant amounts of money on individual skins when I thought they were genuinely worth it. One of the most expensive cosmetics I've personally bought in a game was around 450 USD, simply because I loved the character and the design that much.

So I'm exactly the type of player who is willing to financially support a game through cosmetics.

But give me something worth supporting.

I love the kind of fashion design you see in games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts — outfits that look almost like fantasy haute couture, with layers, materials, accessories and details that make the character feel special.

That's the level of ambition I'd love to see from Aion 2.

And this isn't just about making characters "sexy."

For me it's about fashion, fantasy, identity and visual quality.

A great outfit can make me want to log into an MMO just to take screenshots of my character.

A great housing system can make me spend hours decorating a room.

A great character creator can make me care about a character for years.

That's the kind of MMO I want to play.

I'm moving from BDO because I want something fresh, and Aion 2 seems to have many of the things I enjoy most:

Character customization.
Beautiful outfits.
Housing.
Poses and emotes.
Beautiful environments.
Screenshots and photography.
And a character I can actually feel attached to.

So, NCSoft, if you're going to build a game around this level of visual quality:

Please go all the way.

Don't just make the outfits beautiful in promotional screenshots.

Make them beautiful in-game, up close, five years later, in every region, from every angle.

And if cosmetics are one of the ways players are going to support Aion 2 for years to come, give us cosmetics that make us want to support it.

That's the kind of player I want to be in Aion 2.

Which content will be available on global release?

I have played a week or two on KR release, but I don't really remember what was there in terms of content? I know we are getting the latest QoL changes from chapter 1, but I'm interested to know which other PVE and PVP content will be available for global. They said we are getting only Ludra on release, but what about expeditions, transendance, abyss? Does anyone have an old snapshot of all the content that was available on KR release? Also what gear will be available for us? Do we get Faded Unique gear, do we get HARD conquest expeditions, is Naukam gear going to be the highest? What will be a realistic gear score to hit early on?

Looking for the players

[NA] Looking for Active Players / Guild Members for AION 2 Global Launch

Hey everyone!

I’m putting together a dedicated group for AION 2 Global and looking for players who want to start together from Day 1 and continue progressing together long-term.

I’m currently playing on the Korean server from Eastern Canada, so I already have experience with the game and its early progression.

On KR, I currently have:

* Gladiator – 700k+

* Assassin – 700k+

* Chanter – 700k+

For Global, I’m planning to main a DPS.

Current Group

We already have:

* 1 Cleric

* 1 Spiritmaster

* Me – DPS

So we’re looking for more players to complete the group and eventually build a solid, active guild around it.

Playtime

I can usually start around 4 PM Toronto time (ET) and play through the evening.

Our Plan

We’re planning to start immediately when the game launches and progress quickly.

Once we reach around 100k CP, the plan is to start running Rudra and keep pushing dungeons and harder PvE content together.

I’m looking for people who:

* Will be active from Day 1

* Want to progress quickly

* Run dungeons together regularly

* Are interested in harder PvE content

* Can use Discord/voice when needed

* Want a consistent group rather than constantly playing with randoms

* Plan to stick around long-term

You don’t need Korean-server experience. I’m happy to share what I already know and help everyone progress efficiently.

If you’re interested, comment or DM me with:

Class / Time zone / Usual playtime

Let’s get the group ready before launch. :)
