Switch 1 Bricked
I was about to start up the expedition on my switch 1. I had almost all the stuff in my inventory I was going to send over at the expedition terminal. I locked my switch for a moment then when I came back I started loading everything but I forgot the rocket boots, so I made some really quick and when I clicked on the terminal again it wouldn’t load.
I could still walk around, jetpack, etc. but I couldn’t open the terminal, enter my ship, and none of the menu buttons worked. Also the home and power button on my switch did nothing. I held the power button for 12 seconds to get it to hard reboot, and my switch has had no life since. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting and button combos but I never hear a sound from it, never a blip on the screen at all. I waited a few days to see if it would drain and power back on after charging, still nothing. I guess my 16 minutes are up.
I remember locking the switch causing problems before with nms so I always would exit the game, but forgot that this time. I don’t think theres any helping me but just as a warning for the rest of you at least on the switch 1, never lock the game while playing! 7 years, thousands of hours on probably close to 100 games, gone in the blink of an eye when I was just trying to unwind for an hour one evening.
