Polished the primary bevel until it was a mirror and the re-blacked the whole blade since the original bluing had mostly worn off from splitting small logs for firewood.

Is it possible to train a pigeon for recall and racing/homing?

I am considering getting some homing pigeons to keep as pets and I was wondering if recall training and hand feeding can be paired with homing training. I suspect not, but I want to hear from people with pigeon training experience.

I suspect that a bird trained for recall and hand feeding will not readily return home if released, as there will be a much nearer food source. Me.
