Some of yall are honestly pathetic lol

Ok so stop looking for leaks all day and just study during these hours. There’s still a MINIMUM of 8 hours until chem U3 will be sat. Pull off an all nighter and study (especially since today is the last day of exams for most AS candidates).

Mind you, U3 is genuinely smth that doesn’t need that much studying like if we had U2 tmrw, I wouldn’t blame yall for stressing. But on the other hand, chem U3 is literally only 8 core practicals and 6 of them are super easy. So just revise the core practicals and if u have time solve Jan 2026 or May 2025.
(Don’t get me wrong lmao, U3 is NOT easy. There are tricks but it’s definitely doable with a couple hours of studying)

No cuz yk what I feel for some of yall, like ig some ppl are hopeless and they rlly want to pass so they resort to leaks, but trust me the leaks ARE FAKE.

Again the leaks ARE FAKE. S1 was reported as leaked and everyone was sharing a random ahh paper around, turns out it wasn’t even the acc paper so don’t rely on leaks cuz 90% of the time they aren’t real.

Chem U3 leaks are FAKE and genuinely don’t waste your time. Even if they were real, pls be empathetic for all the people who studied and solved ALOT. They don’t deserve high GBs just cause you didn’t decide to study.

WMA12/01 Disaster

Ok so ik we went through this before (crashing out lol) but I’m here to provide reassurance to all those who didn’t do as well as they expected during today’s exam.

Edexcel has unified the UMS in most subjects, the good thing about Math is that even with the leak in May 2025, the thresholds didn’t even go up THAT much, and P2 thresholds ALWAYS change.

Like don’t worry, if everyone thought of that exam as hard then the threshold WILL go down.

Keep in mind that IAL Mathematics is one of those subjects that Edexcel can’t rlly play with due to the SHEER amount of students taking the exam.

I can’t rlly guarantee anything but I’ll let the fact speak for themselves. Full UMS P2 has been fluctuating for a while so sometimes it increase by 2-6 when the exam is supper easy like Oct 2025, and sometimes it decreases.

Luckily for us, the most RECENT threshold (Jan 2026) has been one of lowest since COVID ended.
63/75 for full UMS
51/75 for an A
Considering that Jan 2026 was an easy exam and the thresholds STILL went down, we can assume that our threshold will either stay the same or prob go down.
DONT expect the threshold to go DOWN DOWN but it can go down by 2-4 marks.

Ig what I’m trying to say yall is don’t lose hope. Ur hard work will pay off.
To all of those who have 10-15 marks they’re sure the lost, don’t worry that’s still a full UMS if the threshold goes down by 3 marks AND EVEN IF IT DOESN’T THAT’S still a rlly high A. (96-99)

Good luck to all of us🙏 Have hope and focus on your other exams, we can’t change what’s already happened.

That was the HARDEST WORST P2 exam I HAVE EVER SEEN.

This is absolutely unacceptable, like why tf was there so much advanced modelling. The integration was bad, even the trig was bad.

Sick of this

I’m so sick and TIRED of the ppl that come up on here and comment on other ppls posts BOASTING about how they got ranks / topper awards in a negative and mean way. Like if you get a rank you deserve to be proud of yourself, but u shouldn’t stuff it in ppls faces every 10 mins.

As an OCLA receiver myself (Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award), I have never brought it up unless I’m asked. It’s pathetic to see these ppl come up on any average post and comment things like “oh couldn’t be me, I got 300/300 in AS Chem”.

I love to see ppl posting about their achievements and etc like genuinely nothing wrong with that, but it gets to a point when ur minimising other ppls achievements.

There’s a specific guy here who’s graduated and he claims that he got 597/600 or smth in A level Chem (practically impossible in today’s thresholds), this guy CONSTANTLY comments about his achievements on every post related to Chem or math.

Mind you, he sat U4 Chem in Oct 2025 when full UMS was 79/90. Now full UMS in U4 is 90/90. He also sat U5 Chem when full UMS was 80/90. On top of that, he sat U1 Chem when full UMS was 66/80, currently U1 full UMS 79/80.

He STILL has the audacity to shame ppl that didn’t get a full UMS, like broski UR RAW MARKS WOULD NOT GET U A 570/600 UNDER THE CURRENT THRESHOLDS.

The point is, if u are an IAL student that sat ur units when full UMS was very low, PLEASE FOR GODS SAKE don’t even compare urself to today’s students.

I hope Edexcel returns to sanity and lowers the thresholds to what they used to be, but it’s honestly unlikely.

Good luck to those who have exams (and to those under enhanced grading and the portfolio)!!
🙏🙏

Chem U2 be SCARING me lmao. The thresholds are so damn high and the papers are getting HARDER. No cuz Jan 2026 was NOT it, the star question was some U3 shi.
Full UMS being 76/80 is pmo, mind you full UMS used to be 67/80. Now the A is 60/80
WE, yes WE will enter the exam hall and cook inshallah.
I was barely able to scrape over 110 in U1 Jan 2026. Edexcel been pmo lately.

Hey guys, although I’m not an IGCSE students currently (I’m an AS student), I have experience with this situation. I sat the May/June 2025 session and I got an A* in Chem and 39/40 in paper 6.

I can CONFIRM and assure that if the points on the graph resemble a smooth curve then u MUST use your pen/pencil and draw a smooth CURVE EVEN if the question asked for a line of best fit.

Yall might be asking how tf would I know?
The simple answer is that, the SAME exact scenario happened to us last year. Our paper 6 had a graph where Cambridge asked for a line of best fit and the answer was a curve NOT a straight line.

I got 4/4 in my graph question and I did a curve, EVERY single person in my class that did a straight line through the points lost AT LEAST 1 mark even though the question specified “line of best fit”.

Yall can also check the syllabus / examiner reports, and Cambridge confirms that a line of best fit can be a straight line OR a curve depending on the nature of the points.

So long story short, if the points clearly show a curve, u must draw a smooth curve. Cambridge will not consider a straight line if it does not make sense.

Pls don’t argue, this is the truth and I experienced this exact scenario last year where half of the subreddit thought the line should’ve been a straight line and they were proven wrong when their results and scripts came in.

Thank you🙏
