Gui Santos
Gui Santos is about to enter his 4th season with the Warriors this October and it'll also be the first year of his new 3 year deal.
Before the AS break, he averaged 5.7 PPG, 2.9 RPG, and 1.5 APG in just 14.7 MPG, starting only 9 games. After the break once he got consistent starter minutes, he put up 15.5 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 3.9 APG, and 1.3 SPG in 31.3 MPG over 21 starts.
There were definitely a lot of ups and downs this season, but I'd argue Gui was one of the few guys who was always ready whenever his number was called. He dropped a career high 31 points on Latino Heritage Night against the Nets, then finished the season as the second leading scorer alongside KP in the play in win that eliminated the Clippers.
With Jimmy and Moody expected to miss some time, do you think Gui has earned a starting spot to open next season? Maybe a lineup with Steph, Gui, and Yaxel if Yaxel proves he's ready?
Do you think Gui takes another step this year? He just turned 24 a couple of weeks ago, so there's still plenty of room for growth.
What do you all think?
