Replaying the series, have a question about BiS remake...

After just finishing dream team, i have now played every single game in the series.
ive set my sights on replaying my first ever mario and luigi game since i was kid, bowsers inside story
Havent played it in years (ive completed alot of times back in the day) ... and i was wondering.. would it be wise to try out the 3ds remake instead of the original DS one?
I HAVE heard negative things about it, toads all being bland, apparently horrible fps drops in the giant bowser fights but i have a try one remake out atleast yk.
If i do get my hands on a copy, ill dump it and play it on azahar with the 60 fps cheat code (dream team being 30 fps kinda fucked me up alot with the timing on counter-attacks a little)
(Keep in mind if i DO dump it, im playing on a ayn thor max, my 3ds is in bad shape)
Do i try the remake and see what the fuzz was about back in 2019 or replay through the OG one
