Working in the industry
I am about to start a summer internship at a rnd company that develops devices for nanoimprint lithography.
For reference, I've just finished my third year mech e (undergrad) and will be working as a mech e intern mostly working on fatigue analysis for machinery. This is a different path from past experiences where I've worked in the automotive sector.
I've had a tour of the place and met some staff so I have a vague idea of the environment at the company, but would like to have a broader understanding of the culture of the industry as a whole. Is it a competitive environment at a team level? What does work/life balance look like. I have some ideas from asking the interviewers but in my mind, they would be overly supportive of their experiences.
I appreciate any insight that could be provided. Cheers
