So, I've been playing for a little less than a year now, using a 4 string Yamaha TRBX174 that is good, but has started to fall apart recently, I dunno why. The electronics have just blown. Went to the music store, guy told me to replace the electronics, but I figured I might as well upgrade to a solid instrument now that I know I'm gonna stick with it.
Started looking for instruments, and I absolutely fell in love with the Ibanez BTB866SC. Like, MEGA CRUSH on it, I have visited the website for it every single day for around a month now. Buying it won't financially set me back much, but I just wanted to know whether there would be any problems with it that I can't foresee, that another 6 string player might be able to enlighten me about.
I am aware of muting being harder, but I think I could pull it off with practice. As for the heft, my bag weighs twice as much, and I carry that with me every day, so I don't think that would be an issue either. It is definitely a jump from a 4 string, but it's absolutely a jump I want to take. Just a little concerned about whether or not it would ruin my playing. Please help me out, six-stringers
