[PS4 Slim] Disk drive won't pull games in
I'm new at this, this is the first console I buy and disassemble. Took it apart and assembled it 7 times trying to make it work, still doesn't, losing my mind.
Before I dismembered it: It was extremely dusty, like all clogged up. It would take in games, but would sometimes fail to read disks. Figured the laser lens would be dirty. Took it apart, cleaned it up really well, put it back together - IT WON'T TAKE THE DAMN DISK. I shoved a disk inside and it reads it well now, but it won't eject it either.
- Rollers are clean and not popped out of place
- Gears inside the disk drive are 9/10 clean
- Shoving the disk in triggers the sensors to pull the disk, the motors are rolling, but the slit seems somehow misaligned, and the space for the CD too narrow, and the console ejects the disk instead of pulling it (???)
- Pressing the eject button also triggers the motors to spin, but the disk won't come out if it's already shoved inside.
My guess at this point is that I reassembled the disk drive poorly or it got stuck mechanically in the "disk already inside" phase or smth, but I can't figure out how to fix it. Can anyone help with some ideas? Thanks!
