I tried to post this on the official forum but I've been getting an error message there for days so maybe someone here can help me?

I built the Ice Cream and Power Armor plot by Myrmarachne. I used the luck option to successfully repair the machine but I can't make ice cream. I cooked up the stuff to make the Lemon Ice Cream and tried putting it in the ice machine, since the only interaction option I get is transfer, but it just disappeared. I let it level up to level 3 an still get no other interaction. (I'm not entirely sure what I SHOULD be getting here.) I thought maybe that plot was glitched so I built another one in a different settlement and let it level up to 3 but I can't interact with it, either.

How, exactly, it is supposed to work? Do I interact with the machine or the assigned worker. The worker just seems to sell power armor stuff and I don't even use power armor.

What, exactly, does the dlc settlers patch do? What happens if I don't have it? I'm only playing chapter 1 so I don't have outposts or HQs, if that matters.

I finished It Came From Planet X, got the popup saying I'd unlocked Franklin's Martian Memorabilia by Tinuvia, sent them to Sunshine Tidings and built them their special house. They've moved in so I tried to build the store for Franklin but it doesn't show up in my list of commercial plots. I assigned him to the plot and refreshed the plot cache but it still isn't there. Please help.

If I have resources set to simple, does that mean the only industrial plots I need are junk plots? Or will junk plots not work because they store in the workbench and not virtual storage? Should I build different types in each settlement, even on Simple? I don't understand which plots I need for each settlement.
