Need advice
I made a payment of ₹1,30,000 using my ICICI Amazon Pay Credit Card on 8th October and cancelled the order on the same day. The seller initiated the refund today, but according to the bank representative, it may take another 3–4 days to reflect in my account.
My statement is scheduled to be generated on the 12th of every month. If the refund is credited after the statement is generated, will I have to pay the entire ₹1,30,000 bill first? Will the refund then be adjusted against my outstanding balance as a negative amount in the next billing cycle?
To avoid this situation, I changed my statement date from the 12th to the 20th this morning. However, I have been told that the new statement date will take effect only from the next billing cycle.
Is there any way to get the refund adjusted before my statement is generated, so I don’t have to pay the full amount and then wait for the refund to be adjusted later?
Has anyone faced a similar situation with an ICICI Amazon Pay Credit Card? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
