HSBC Live+ Application Rejected

So, I tried to get an HSBC Live+ Credit Card recently, but they turned me down. The reason they gave was "Credit exposure norms not met." I even got an email about it.

I'm a bit stumped on what that actually means. Can anyone shed some light on it? And is there anything I can do to try and get them to change their minds?

Just so you know, I've got over 15+ credit cards (HSBC Platinum & HSBC Rupay Cashback) right now, with a total limit of around ₹60L. I usually spend about ₹30-40K a month, and I always pay it back on time.

Need CC recommendations for bike purchase (2.5lakhs price)

So as the heading says, I was looking at my options to buy a bike using CC. Are there any CC that’s worth it for such one time purchase?

Basically the dealer will charge 1.8% extra for cc cost. So is there any CC that’s worth can offset it or give me benefits worth that cost?

Going this option as my money are majorly invested and I don’t want to pull out those funds!

Last I checked by cibil was 785. Age 25. Salary - 25lpa. So please recommend cards that I might be approved for.

Thanks in advance!

If you could keep only ONE credit card forever, which one would it be and why? 💳

There are so many credit cards in India right now that most people end up juggling multiple cards for cashback, lounge access, rewards or fuel benefits

But if you had to keep only ONE credit card for the rest of your life, which one would you choose and why?
Would you go for rewards, travel perks, reliability, cashback or overall value?

Curious to know which cards people here genuinely trust long term and what makes them worth keeping

Where else to use Kotak 811 Super card for 5% cashback for Apay vouchers?

Magicpin started charging 1% surcharge, so effective cashback is 4% . I am aware of Zepto method but I wanted online instant delivery with no surcharge .

Kotak gyftr started showing order failed after two orders, maybe they have some monthly or daily limits . CRED doesn't work with debit cards

Flipkart axis Bank credit card doubt

Hey, So I'm 20 years old and new to credit cards. I want to get a flipkart axis Bank credit card to get some discount on buying a new phone from Flipkart.

Before applying I just wanted to ask, will my card be approved?

My brother has taken 44k loan from my slice account and he is the one who repays it. My cibil score is somewhere between 750-780.

I am employed in a private limited company and my monthly ctc is 20500 rs.

Also please tell if there is any option that a bank person visits my house for kyc? I don't want to do video kyc for some reason.

Built a free tool to track Indian credit card benefits — honest feedback needed

Hey everyone,

Most of us with credit cards pay annual fees

but forget to use half the benefits. Lounge

visits expire. Cashback caps go unused.

Milestone bonuses get missed.

I built CardMaxx to fix this.

What it does:

→ Select your cards from 85 Indian cards

→ See all benefits in one dashboard

→ Know which card to swipe for dining, travel,

groceries, fuel, online shopping

→ Track which benefits you've used this month

→ Points calculator — know exact rupee value

of your points

Banks covered:

HDFC, Axis, Amex, SBI, ICICI, Kotak, HSBC,

IDFC First, IndusInd, RBL, Yes Bank

Built this solo in 7 days using vibe coding .

Still building — email reminders coming next.

Free to use: https://cardmaxx-zeta.vercel.app/

Two things I'd love feedback on:

  1. Is the benefit data accurate for your cards?

  2. What feature would make you use this daily?

Uni Gold X details help needed. only Genuine users answer please.

I 'm thinking about applying Uni Gold X, i have some question that the website is not answering. can you guys help me out please.

no 1. I use a diifferent number which is not linked to my addhar or PAN. Can i get the Uni card using it? i hv CC on this number too Yes Marquee and ICICI Sapphiro. Both active.

no 2. what is the minimum spend per transaction to get Uni Coins? some says there is no minimum traction req. if i spend 25 rs i iwll get 25 uni coin. is it true?

no 3. Is there is any coin redemtion charge?

no 4. the reward pattern says 1 uni coin = 0.01rs. what am I missing?

no 5. what is digital gold ? what it is exactly? sould i hv some kind of onine accout to get it? what is these guys go bankrupt after 5 years or shut down like OneCard ?

no 6. is there any way to get is as cashback?

no 7. will i get same reward if i use the digital card linked with different UPI app or i hv to stricly use Uni app?

Need advice regarding Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card approval.

I currently have:

- CIBIL score around 776

- Novio Credilio Secured Credit Card

- Slice card with ₹65k limit

- Recently approved RBL card with ₹45k limit

- Using Amazon Pay Later for 6 months

- Amazon Pay Later limit increased from ₹2k to ₹10k recently

- I use Amazon Now almost daily

I also got the Amazon Pay ICICI card banner in the Amazon app saying “Complete your application”.

I have heard that ICICI generally prefers users with 1 year+ credit history, and my credit history is over 1 year with no late payments or settlements.

However, I also had a few recent inquiries as well

Do you guys think I should apply for the Amazon Pay ICICI card right now or wait a few months for inquiries to age?

Would appreciate honest suggestions from people who got approved/rejected with similar profiles.

27 hard enquiries and it's impact on my credit score

I took a shot so you guys don't have to. Everyone talks about the devastating impact of a single hard inquiry on credit score. So I decided to test it out. The result? Basically nothing.

Here's the story.

I have had one credit card for the past 2.5 years. So I decided to add some new cards to my portfolio. I started this in the month of March. Within two days, I got all the cards I needed, thereby adding 4 new cards. By then, I had made about 5 hard enquiries. I didn't see any myself requiring any other card for another year or two, and the same case with any kind of loans, which meant I could recover any kind of damage my score would have by the time I applied for anything else. So, I decided to go all out. Whenever I got any free time - while commuting, or watching any kind of series, I applied for a CC somewhere. This summed up to 27 enquiries. And here is the CIBIL score trend:

February: 777

March: 774

April: 778

May: 774

Now, I'm not sure if this is a one-off case or this is the norm. I have heard stories from both sides. If you guys have noticed something similar or contradicting with your cibil, let us know.

SBI card approved via SMS, email & IVR but tracking page still shows "application processing

Applied for SBI Card (PhonePe SBI Select Black) recently, completed digital KYC, and now I’ve received both SMS and email saying the card is approved and will be delivered within 7 working days. Even SBI IVR says the card is approved.

But the application tracking page still shows “application is being processed” / “an executive will contact you shortly.” I also can’t login to SBI Card app because it asks for card details which I don’t have yet, and the credit limit isn’t visible anywhere.

Has anyone else faced this delay between approval and card generation? How long did it take for your card details/virtual card/credit limit to appear after approval?

Credit Card Management app

I've been using Cred since last year but now it's just a load of BS for no reason. Please recommend a good app that I can use to manage all my credit cards, pay credit card and utility bills, see my card statements and expenditures in one place and possibly upi payments but that's not mandatory. I'm NOT looking for a reward/cashback application, just a good application with good user interface and user experience and free from bullshit.

Amazon Pay ICICI CC not mapped to Amazon account after approval/delivery – anyone faced this?

My Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card has already been approved, delivered, activated and I’m able to do transactions successfully. ICICI Bank confirmed everything is fine from their side.

But in the Amazon app, first it was stuck on “Application Under Review”. Now that status disappeared completely and it is showing “Apply Now” again as if I never got the card.

It is even allowing me to apply for another Amazon Pay ICICI card despite already having one active.

Because of this, I think my existing card is not getting mapped/linked properly to my Amazon account backend. Cashback/rewards also don’t seem to reflect correctly.

Has anyone faced a similar account mapping/sync issue between Amazon and ICICI?

If yes:

how was it resolved?

did it fix automatically after a few days/billing cycle?

or did Amazon backend team have to manually refresh/link the card?

Would appreciate any guidance since normal customer care seems unaware of this issue.

HDFC Mobile Number Update

HDFC has an online restriction that you cannot update mobile number for 6 months online from account opening.

Is it the same if you visit the branch also or it’s impossible to change for 6 months?

I insisted to use my secondary number. But the bank staff said the same mobile number in adhaar has to be the registered number. But I use a different number for business. And the account was opened at home banking.

Phonepe HDFC credit card

I applied for the card and have already received it. It offers cashback points on certain online purchases, but now I feel the benefits are not that great.

  1. Can anyone guide me on how to use this card effectively? Most of my daily transactions are small payments ranging from ₹20 to ₹100.

  2. Can cashback points be redeemed against the credit card statement?
