Did Zepto fix the Amazon GC loophole?

Looks like Zepto has indeed fixed the loophole as I can see a 1.5% cashback credited for the same in my current month statement. It could be that or my grocery and food spends got 1.5% which is highly unlikely. Anyways, I will be call up the customer care tomorrow and doing multiple follow-ups to indirectly understand the reason 😅

I will reply on the post's comments if I get more details for now just hold back on any GC purchases from Zepto.

Btw I was using HSBC Live+ credit card to purchase GC on Zepto.

Can somebody explain the benefits of credit cards with your own experience? What I mean is how you use it apart from getting discounts on Amazon and cashback payments?

My father is opposed to credit cards and I want one but the problem with the high interest dissuade my father and me as well.

Need advice on the best bank account + credit card setup for my spending pattern (₹1.5L/month salary)

Hi everyone,

I'm 23F and recently started working. My monthly in-hand salary is around ₹1.5 lakh, and I'm planning to restructure my finances by opening two bank accounts:

  • Salary Account – Salary gets credited here, SIPs auto-debit from here, and I transfer money home.
  • Spending Account – Every month I'll transfer a fixed amount here for all my expenses (UPI, credit card bill, etc.) so I can better track my spending and avoid dipping into my investments.

Monthly cash flow

  • Salary: ~₹1.5L
  • Money sent home: ₹30k
  • SIPs (auto-debit): ₹60k
  • Remaining (~₹60k): Rent + groceries + shopping + lifestyle expenses

Approximate annual spending

  • Flights: ₹50,000
  • Hotel Bookings: ₹150,000
  • Groceries (Blinkit/BigBasket/Instamart, etc.): ₹84,000
  • Dining + Swiggy/Zomato: ₹80,000
  • Shopping (UNIQLO, Levi's, ONLY, Pepe Jeans, etc.): ₹60,000
  • Uber/Ola: ₹18,000

What I'm looking for in a credit card

  • Low or ideally zero annual fee (or easily waived)
  • Good airport lounge access (guest access would be a bonus)
  • Strong rewards on flight bookings
  • Good cashback/rewards on Amazon, Blinkit, Swiggy, Zomato, BigBasket, Instamart, etc.
  • Decent rewards on clothing brands
  • Good rewards on Uber/Ola
  • Easy approval with my salary profile

I don't mind using 2 credit cards if that gives significantly better returns than trying to use a single card.

Current plan

After doing some research, I'm thinking of:

  • HDFC Salary Account
  • IDFC FIRST Savings Account for daily spending
  • HDFC Regalia Gold as my primary card
  • HSBC Live+ for groceries and dining

Does this sound like the best setup, or is there a better combination?

Some questions:

  1. Would you recommend a different salary bank?
  2. Is Regalia Gold still the best option for my spending pattern, or would something like Axis Atlas, SBI Cashback, Amex MRCC, ICICI Emeralde/HPCL, etc. be better?
  3. Is HSBC Live+ still the best grocery/dining card, or are there better alternatives now?
  4. Should I prioritize cashback or travel rewards considering I spend only ~₹50k/year on flights?
  5. Are there any hidden drawbacks with this setup that I'm missing?

Looking forward to your suggestions. Thanks!

What are my chances of SBI SimplyCLICK approval?

Hi everyone,

I applied for the SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card today and wanted to know what my approval chances are.

My credit profile:

CIBIL history: 7–8 months

CIBIL score: 773

Amazon Pay Later: ₹10,000 (7 months)

SBM FD-backed Credit Card: ₹1,800 limit (5 months)

Slice Credit Card: ₹65,000 limit (4 months)

RBL Bank Credit Card: ₹45,000 limit (1 month)

I have around 9 hard inquiries in the last 6 months, which is what worries me the most.

I have paid all my payment on time with no late payments.

Do you think SBI will approve my application, or are the recent inquiries likely to cause a rejection? Has anyone with a similar profile been approved?

Thanks in advance!

Amazon EMI exceeds SBI Elite credit limit by ₹4k - What should I do?

Hi everyone,

I recently received an SBI Elite Credit Card (Lifetime Free) through SBI's college program. It's a brand-new card (only 5 days old) with a ₹75,000 credit limit.

I'm planning to buy a laptop on Amazon.

Details:

Laptop price: ₹89,990

After Amazon + SBI offer, I'm getting around ₹10,000 off, so I really don't want to miss the deal.

6-month No Cost EMI

Amazon shows the following message:

"Your card limit will be temporarily utilized for ₹79,238.51."

So even though my monthly EMI is only around ₹13,000, Amazon/SBI will temporarily block ₹79,238.51, which is about ₹4,238 above my ₹75k credit limit.

In the SBI Card app, I found the Over-limit Transactions option. It says SBI may allow transactions up to 50% above the credit limit, but it also says the transaction may be subject to an over-limit fee. It doesn't mention how much the fee is.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone used the over-limit facility on an SBI Elite card for an Amazon EMI purchase?

  2. Was the transaction approved?

  3. How much was the over-limit fee (if any)?

  4. Is it a one-time fee, or does it affect the EMI/interest?

  5. Since my card is only 5 days old, is there a high chance the transaction will simply be declined despite enabling over-limit?

I'm only exceeding my limit by about ₹4,238 (around 5.6%), and I don't want to lose a ₹10k discount if this can be handled safely.

Any experiences or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This bad boy has become the DAD of all CB cards.

I recently applied for the HSBC Live+ credit card and was pleasantly surprised to receive a limit of 5,41,000, which is my second highest limit.

Having this card has significantly boosted my cashback earning efficiency. I can now spend on Zomato Blinkit, Flipkart minutes, Amazon groceries and get 10% cashback.

Previously, I was limited to Swiggy for 10% cashback and Amazon for 5%. Now, I can use this card almost everywhere for my day-to-day expenses.

I’ve already received some cashback rewards, including a ₹750 Amazon Pay voucher through Visa Poshvine, a ₹100 Amazon Pay voucher through Times Prime and a ₹1000 cashback reward for completing a ₹20,000 transaction within 30 days.

this is absolute beast

T&C:

  1. 1 complimentary international airport lounge visit per year w.e.f 1 September 2026.

  2. Any spends on Amazon, Flipkart & Myntra merchants continue to earn 1.5% cashback, but will be excluded from the 10% cashback category. Cashback earned on transactions w.e.f 26 July 2026 will be reflected in the August 2026 Credit Card statement.

  3. These benefits are subject to the terms and conditions as defined by Visa and will be honored accordingly: Visa Infinite | Visa

  4. Applicable on contactless fuel spends over ₹10,000 per quarter.

PS I have a total of 16 credit cards, 3 of which are paid. One of them is HSBC Live+. If you’d like to see my credit card stack, you can visit my profile; I have a post about it.

SBI Card LTF - Scam?

I received a call yesterday saying I was pre approved for an LTF SBI SimplyClick card. Since I do not have any card from SBI, I was interested in it and double checked with them if it was really LTF and they told me it was. So I went ahead and completed the application process. Then the agent said that I would receive a call from the bank and they are going to mention the annual fees and I should accept it and that later she would remove those charges and process the card. I am yet to receive the call.

Am I cooked?

HSBC CREDITCARD Revalued 😱🔥

Crazy revaluation by HSBC for the Live+ card. 🔥

No longer just a grocery card. It's an all-rounder now.

✅ 10% cashback cap increased from ₹1,000 to ₹1,200 per month.

✅ Shopping and utility spends now also earn 10% cashback, along with dining and grocery.

✅ Card upgraded to Visa Infinite, which means new cardholders can unlock a ₹750 welcome bonus.

✅ 1 complimentary international lounge visit every year. (On top of the existing 2 domestic lounge visits.)

⛽ Spend ₹10,000 or more on contactless fuel transactions and get a ₹250 voucher.

Note: Amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra are excluded from the 10% category and will continue to earn 1.5% cashback.,

Rare to see a card getting revalued in 2026

What do you think about this update? 👇

Is my fathers cibil reflecting under my name?? *NEED HELP*

I have been using my father's old Airtel SIM card for the past six years because he no longer needed it. Before I started using it, the number was linked to several of his financial products, including credit cards and an ICICI Bank account. Over time, all of those credit card accounts were closed, and only the ICICI savings account remained active. I still use that account occasionally as an extra bank account.

Over the last six years, this phone number has essentially become my primary number. Everything is linked to it—my SBI bank account, Groww account, email addresses, Instagram, and almost every other important account I use.

I am 21 years old and have recently started learning about CIBIL scores. Since I have never taken a loan or credit card, I expected to have little or no credit history. However, when I checked my CIBIL score through the PhonePe app, it showed a score of around 400.

I know that my father's CIBIL score is poor because our family faced financial difficulties a few years ago, and his credit score never recovered. Since this SIM card is still officially registered in my father's name, I am worried that PhonePe might be showing his CIBIL score instead of mine.

I want to build a good credit history for myself and don't want my father's past financial decisions to affect my financial profile. Is it possible to transfer the ownership of this Airtel SIM card to my name? If yes, what is the process? Also, how can I confirm whether the CIBIL score I am seeing actually belongs to me or to my father, and what steps should I take to ensure my own credit history remains separate?

Got BPCL SBI OCTANE CREDIT CARD converted to LIFETIME FREE. Nothing is Impossible 😅

After seeing posts here, just tried sending email to both SBI Card and HDFC Credit card customer care. To my surprise HDFC declined the offer but SBI made it LTF, LOL😹

I asked to make my 1 year old Rupay card free, Instead they made my 4.5 year old BPCL Octane Card LTF. Should have asked earlier :/

HDFC declined to make Phonepe Ultimo card LTF. Will mail again to ask if they can make my Diners Club Millenia LTF

HDFC diners quartersly Milestone benifit and Settlement date

I have missed the milestone benefit for the HDFC diners as I am unaware of settlement date. I was short of 15k for 4 lakhs quarterly spend and did transaction on 30th but the transaction only settled on 1st and reflected in the next quarter milestone .

So in summary I am unaware of the settlement date and missed 10k reward points. Wanted to share this experience as this might help others. Plan the quarter spending 2 days prior to end of the quarter.

Axis CC

Hi…i opened my axis burgundy 5 months back for the sole reason of getting magnus burgundy and have also allocated the said 5,00,000 rs in the account initially. I have also given them my ITR and all the account statement for the eligibility criteria. But so far i have only received my basic axis select card and no updates on my magnus. They keep telling there is something wrong with my ITR and statement, but earnings under my name are well above the required limits. I have not used my of my select card and am waiting on the magnus to start spending. Is this something related to my specific axis branch or is the problem with me. Is there any other requirements for magnus burgundy that im unaware of. Please help. Thanks
