What happens if someone pays to the QR/UPI ID shown in the IDFC FIRST app for a RuPay credit card on UPI, with no savings account?

A friend of mine has an IDFC FIRST WOW credit card (against an FD) and a secondary RuPay credit card that’s used on UPI. Both share the same limit. He has no IDFC savings account, and no other bank account is linked in the IDFC app. Only the RuPay credit card is linked for UPI.

In the IDFC app, under Pay > UPI, it shows his QR code and UPI ID with his name, along with options for “Send money” and “Receive money.”

My question: if someone scans that QR (or pays to that UPI ID), what actually happens to the money?

Will it reduce his credit card outstanding balance? Will the payment just fail or get reversed to the sender? Or could it go somewhere else?

From what I understand, RuPay credit cards on UPI are meant only for paying merchants, and incoming P2P transfers need a real bank account to credit. But the app clearly shows a “receive money” option, so I’m confused about how it’s configured.

Has anyone tried this, or does anyone know how IDFC handles it? Did the payment fail, reverse after a few days, or show up as a credit on the card?

Thanks in advance!

Title: OneCard fuel transaction amount doesn't add up. Am I missing something?

I recently used my OneCard for a fuel purchase of ₹435 at a petrol pump that I regularly use.

Here are the details:

* Fuel purchase amount: ₹435.00

* Settled transaction amount on OneCard: ₹446.80

* Fuel surcharge waiver credited/in progress: ₹4.35

My understanding is:

Fuel surcharge @ 1% = ₹4.35

GST @ 18% on surcharge = ₹0.78

Expected transaction amount = ₹435 + ₹4.35 + ₹0.78 = ₹440.13

However, my card statement shows ₹446.80.

Even after the surcharge waiver of ₹4.35, my effective cost becomes ₹442.45, which is still ₹7.45 higher than the fuel amount and about ₹6.67 higher than what I would expect based on a standard 1% fuel surcharge calculation.

I have the fuel receipt showing ₹435 and this is a petrol pump that I have used many times before without noticing such a discrepancy.

Has anyone faced something similar with OneCard or any other credit card? Is there any additional charge, network fee, or fuel-related fee that could explain this, or should I raise a formal dispute with OneCard?

Would appreciate any insights.

Note :- i am using credit card in past for fuel payment but this issue didn't arrive in past

Passport on hold for 9 months over POB error, Panchayat returned my handwritten birth certificate saying digitization will take "months" application expires July 15, need help/advice from anyone who faced similar

Hi everyone, posting this out of pure desperation. Long post but please read if you've dealt with something similar.

**Timeline:**

- **Oct 2025**: Applied for fresh passport. By mistake, I entered my present residential address as my Place of Birth (POB) instead of my actual birth place (which is ~90 km away). Genuine clerical error.

- **PSK visit #1**: Was told I need a *digital* birth certificate since I only had a handwritten one issued by my Gram Panchayat, and that they don't have authority to rectify POB without it.

- **April 2026**: Went to PSK Kolkata. They verified all documents in the system, acknowledged the correction to my POB, but put my application **on hold** pending the digital birth certificate.

- **Since then**: I've been running after my Gram Panchayat for the digital certificate. After months of delay-after-delay, they have now **returned my original handwritten certificate** and verbally told me digitization is suspended and "will take many more months"no written confirmation given.

- **Now**: My application is sitting on hold, supposedly expiring around **July 15, 2026**. I have an important exam in September 2026 for which I need this passport already missed my May attempt because of this mess.

**What I need help with:**

  1. Has anyone successfully gotten a handwritten/Panchayat-issued birth certificate accepted at PSK Kolkata (or any PSK) when digital certificates were genuinely unavailable?

  2. Does PSK **Berhampore** or any other WB PSK have a track record of accepting handwritten certificates with discretion? (heard this from a few sources, want to verify)

  3. Anyone know what actually happens when a held application crosses its "expiry" date auto-cancelled, or does it just sit indefinitely?

  1. Any contacts/escalation routes within RPO Kolkata that have actually worked for similar POB correction + document availability issues?

Genuinely at the end of my rope here any real experience, even if it's "this didn't work for me," would help. Thanks for reading.
