Hi everyone,

I hold credit cards with Axis Bank and HSBC. Today, I received emails and SMS messages from both banks asking me to update my CKYC details to ensure uninterrupted services, as the information provided during VKYC does not match the details available in the CKYC registry.

The issue is that my CKYC was last updated by Indian Bank around 5 years ago, and the information available there is outdated.

Around 11–12 days ago, I visited my Indian Bank branch, where I submitted the updated documents and requested CKYC updation. The bank accepted the documents and informed me that the updated details would reflect within 5–6 days. However, it has been more than 10 days, and my old CKYC details are still showing.

Now, both Axis and HSBC are sending me reminders for CKYC updation.

My questions are:

1. How long does Indian Bank usually take to update CKYC details in the central registry?

2. Should I wait a few more days or raise a complaint with Indian Bank?

3. Can Axis Bank and HSBC restrict or deactivate my credit cards if the mismatch is not resolved soon?

4. Is there any way to check the status of my CKYC update online?

Has anyone faced a similar issue with Indian Bank or another bank? Please share your experience and suggestions.
