Anyone converted SBI Flipkart Credit Card to LTF?

Has anyone here managed to get their SBI Flipkart Credit Card converted into a Lifetime Free (LTF) card? Officially, SBI charges ₹500 annual fee (waived only if you spend ₹3.5L in a year), but I’ve heard some people got it waived permanently after negotiating with customer care or through retention offers.

Would love to know:

Did you request via SBI customer care or branch?

Was it a one-time waiver or permanent LTF conversion?

Any tips or specific wording that worked for you?

Sharing experiences could help others who are trying to avoid the steep spend requirement.

Amazon Pay ICICI Application: Got a "Tentative Limit" document but status shows Under Review. Normal?

Hey everyone,

I applied for the Amazon Pay ICICI credit card on Monday, August 17th. Right after completing the process, my tracking screen showed "Step 4 of 4:

Application Under Review."

However, I noticed that my generated credit card application form lists an Application Number and shows a "Tentative Credit Limit" of ₹1,40,000 (subject to credit manager's approval).

For those who have this card, does getting a specific tentative limit on the form mean it's practically approved? How long does it usually take to get the final approval

SMS from this stage? Thanks!

What should be my next credit card?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for advice on what my next credit card should be.

My current cards:

  • HDFC MoneyBack+ — ₹37,000 limit
  • HDFC RuPay UPI companion card
  • CIBIL: 742
  • Current HDFC card is relatively new.

My spending is roughly:

  • Fuel: ₹4,000+/month
  • 🛒 Everything else: ₹7,000–₹8,000/month

I'm considering getting a dedicated fuel card as my second card. I currently prefer BPCL, although I'm also willing to use HPCL if the rewards are significantly better.

I'm looking at:

  • BPCL SBI Card
  • BPCL SBI Card OCTANE
  • IDFC FIRST Power
  • Or any other card you think would be better for my spending.

I've also been getting LTF offers for cards like Jupiter Edge+, Axis Neo RuPay, and Swiggy HDFC ORNGE, but I'm not sure if adding another generic/LTF card makes sense.

What would you choose as my next card and why?

Also, should I go for a fuel card now, or wait a few months since my HDFC card is still new?

Thanks!

Update: Got approved for SBI BPCL CC for 59k Limit (not octante)

Credit score stuck around 620–650 after one missed EMI—how can I fix it?

Hi everyone,

A few years ago, when I was a fresher, I bought a used iPhone for around ₹40,000 with a ₹20,000 down payment. The remaining amount was paid through an EMI plan of around nine months.

During the last EMI, I transferred the required amount to my bank account at around 8 a.m., but the auto-debit apparently failed. I contacted customer service, and they said there was nothing they could do. However, the amount was debited the next day, and I wasn’t charged any penalty or late fee.

It has been almost three years since then, but I’ve been unable to get a loan or credit card. I’m not sure whether that bounced EMI is the reason. My credit score has remained around 620–650. I’ve heard that checking your CIBIL report reduces your score, so I’ve been hesitant to check it.

I’ve also seen advertisements for apps GoodScore that claim to help. Has anyone used them?

I’m currently in urgent need of a loan. My CTC and bank transactions are good, although I understand those may not matter if my credit history is poor. I’ve applied for credit cards from Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, and others, but all my applications were rejected because of my CIBIL score.

What could be causing my low score, and what steps can I take to fix my credit history?

Can a virtual debit card solve my problem?

Please don't delete: This is my genuine question.

What I have: SBI rupay debit card physical only. (all my family members have the same.)

Age 21. Petty earnings yet.

What I saw: A virtual visa/mastercard debit card on yono app, which is free.

Is it useful for me?

What I want: There are many international subscription services, and services which have trial period but these require a credit card details to be added that accepts international payments, which should be visa or mastercard, some reviews suggest they accept visa/mastercard debit cards from india too.

I cannot ask this to relatives everytime.

Should I take this virtual card on my yono?

Pls help. If not this: how do I solve my problem?

Axis mid-range : Select (LTF) vs Privileged Amex?

As select has been undervalued: i wanted amex privilege.. but wont be spending 5L annual fee wavier.

Like, Select card is LTF for Burgundy uses without any waiver term. There is no card which I can take as a Priority Customer. The bank is pushing me to take Privileged Amex, but honestly, I don’t think I can afford ₹ 5L to waive the ₹ 1500 + GST off!

Currently, I’m a Priority Customer eligible for free upgradation to Burgundy. All credit goes to my parents; they have been Axis customers for 15 years and have added me to their family banking.

Age: 25 & Credit History of 3 years.

Coming to my spends: Hardcore HSBC RuPay cashback around 35-40k.

I took HSBC Live+ & HDFC Millennia very recently (for both of them, too, I’m worried that I won’t meet the cap to waive the annual fees off!).

I want to leverage my Axis Bank situation & get a mid-tier card & then, in the future, eventually get an upgrade to Magnus Burgundy.

Looking for advice! Thank you.

Need help with a dilemma

31 enquiries, 6 cards, and now I’m trying to stop the madness 😭

₹27k/month | CIBIL 773

Current cards:

• Utkarsh ₹100 secured

• Slice ₹38k

• Roarbank ₹5k

• HDFC MoneyBack+ ₹48k

• Axis Flex ₹83k

• ICICI Coral ₹50k

Pending: BOB UniGold ₹30k, Swiggy HDFC (tentative ₹5k), RBL ShopRite (tentative ₹40k).

Recent AU/IDFC/Yes rejections + an application spree took me to 31 enquiries. Planning a strict 6–9 month credit detox.

Main questions:

• RBL ShopRite: Keep it for groceries, ask for LTF, or let it auto-cancel? Worth ₹590/year for capped cashback + redemption fees?

• HDFC: If Swiggy HDFC gets approved, should I close MoneyBack+ after 6 months or keep it for future Millennia/LE prospects?

• Does a ₹5k Swiggy HDFC limit affect HDFC’s overall limit sharing/LE?

• How long should I realistically wait before applying for anything again?

• Any other cards I should eventually target for groceries/UPI/utility spends?

Basically: how would you clean up this portfolio and play the next 6–12 months?

Amex Platinum Reserve — worth it for Year 1?

In the middle of all the Amex devaluations, I decided to get the Amex Platinum Reserve by paying ₹10K + GST.

Applied recently and got approved within an hour after completing Video KYC. Pretty smooth experience.

I already have HDFC Regalia Gold and HSBC TravelOne, so I know the card isn't great purely for rewards. But I have two specific use cases:

  1. 19K MR points: With the current referral offer, I can get ~19K MR points and transfer them to Marriott Bonvoy, which I can combine with my free-night award from the HDFC Marriott Bonvoy card.

  2. Accor+: I have a 7-night Accor stay in Phuket in October + 3 more Accor nights in India planned. Accor+ and the status nights from Amex should help me reach Gold (already have few nights in account this year) and save on stays/dining.

So, for Year 1, I think I'll comfortably recover the ₹11.8K-ish fee.

But Year 2 is a different story. Without the welcome bonus and my current Accor stays, I don't see enough value yet to justify the fee.

My plan: extract maximum value this year and probably cancel if Year 2 doesn't make sense.

Anyone here finding enough value in Platinum Reserve beyond the first year?

790 CIBIL, 3.7-year-old credit history, ₹1L+ salary — rejected by Slice and Kiwi. Why?

I have a 790 CIBIL score and my oldest credit account is around 3.7 years old. I have a good repayment history and a ₹1L+ monthly salary.

I currently have 2 credit cards:

OneCard

Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card

Despite this:

Slice:

“We can't approve you now. Use Slice Savings to build credit eligibility.”

When I was creating the Slice account, I also remember seeing something along the lines of “credit account not found”, although I'm not 100% sure about the exact wording.

Kiwi:

“Credit account is not old enough.”

I'm confused because my credit history isn't particularly new, and my CIBIL score is 790.

Could this be because Kiwi/Slice have their own internal eligibility criteria that are different from CIBIL? Or could there be some issue with how my credit accounts are being reported?

Has anyone with a similar profile faced the same thing with Slice or Kiwi?

Best way to pay credit card bills for maximum cashback?

I’m looking for the best way to pay credit card bills in India while getting the maximum possible cashback/rewards.

Any UPI/Wallet/third-party payment tricks that are actually worth using?

What’s the best strategy for maximizing rewards without paying extra fees?

Are there any current offers or limitations I should know about?

Would love to hear your experiences and the best cashback combinations you’ve found. 🙌

HDFC Millennia Card – Should I Close My Existing Biz Grow Cards to Get a Pre-Approved Offer?

I’ve been banking with HDFC for a couple of years.

When I opened my HDFC savings account, I had selected Self-Employed as my profession. After around 6 months, I received pre-approved offers for the HDFC Biz Grow and Biz RuPay UPI cards, which I currently have.

Recently, during re-KYC , I updated my profession from Self-Employed to Salaried.

A couple of days ago, I also opened an HDFC Salary Account, while keeping my existing savings account active. My salary is in the ₹25–30K range.”

I’m interested in getting the HDFC Millennia Credit Card, preferably through a pre-approved offer, but I currently don't qualify through the normal application route.

My question is:

Should I close my existing Biz Grow and Biz RuPay cards?

My concern is that since both are business cards that were issued when my profile was marked as self-employed, HDFC's internal system might continue treating me as a business-card customer and therefore not generate a pre-approved offer/upgrade to Millennia.

Or would it be better to keep the existing cards open, receive my salary in HDFC for a few months, and wait for the system to generate a pre-approved Millennia offer?

If anyone has been in a similar situation, I'd really appreciate your advice on:

- Whether closing the Biz cards can improve the chances of getting Millennia

- How long I should wait after starting salary credits

- Whether HDFC offers Millennia as an upgrade from Biz cards

- Whether having a salary account changes the internal eligibility

- What would be the best strategy to maximize my chances of getting Millennia as a pre-approved/LTF card

Any advice from people who have experience with HDFC's internal card upgrade/pre-approved system would be really helpful.
