Serena is a loser lowkey
I’m on season four of gossip girl and when her mom got so excited that she was taking her study seriously and not focusing on just a guy and it turns out she was just focusing on just a guy. It made me realize that all of Serena‘s plotline is revolved around the next man and the second it doesn’t work out. She has falls back on Nate or Dan, she’s incapable of being alone or doing anything that is not centering men. She’s like a human bechdel failure.
But I think the most annoying part about Serena is that she’s such a realistic character like I know women just like her where it’s just their whole lives revolved around the next man or the romantic interest and they don’t pour anything back into themselves. But on TV it’s more boring-like obviously all the characters are bad people. But Serena is literally boring at least Blair and Chuck and Dan and Nate and Vanessa have other things going on.
Like Blair is very smart, even if it’s very high school (her trying to be like the head of girls or whatever) at least she has a side plot that’s not about romance
