Nelly Yuki is a two timing social climbing raggedy ass bitch and she is NOT the “icon” you think she is.
She was a spineless follower with no backbone or ethics. I’m shocked to see how much this sub supports her.
In the very, very beginning she was sweet, but that’s about it.
Jenny deserves the BIGGEST apology from EVERYONE.
TL;DR: Everyone was horrible to Jenny. #JUSTICE4JENNYHUMPHREY
Rufus was a HORRIBLE father and is definitely misogynistic. He was very strict with Jenny, (which, there’s nothing wrong with setting firm rules) but was not strict with Dan at all. Yes, Jenny may have gotten into more trouble than Dan, but even when Dan got into trouble, Rufus was always on his side and literally NEVER grounded him. The show does a good job at showing how in households, parents are always stricter with their daughters than they are with their sons.
In season 1 when Dan and Serena have the pregnancy scare, Rufus supports Dan. And in season 4 when Dan has the baby, Rufus supports him immediately. But if it was Jenny in that situation, she would’ve definitely gotten sent to boarding school. I’m happy Jenny went to live with her mother. I imagine she was living peacefully, getting the life she deserves, bonding with her mother, making friends, being Rufus-free, etc. I honestly don’t know why Jenny never left NY sooner, LOL.
When Rufus basically kicks Jenny out, she goes to Chuck’s penthouse thingy. Chuck takes advantage of Jenny, a desperate, lonely minor. He drunks her up and has sex with her, which is also statutory rape.
When Blair finds this out, she literally yells at Jenny at the top of her lungs and threatens her, but is so forgiving to Chuck, the adult in this situation and forgives him. I literally despise Blair. I never liked her. I never liked her ever since that little stunt she pulled in season 1 when she tells everyone Serena was at the ostrich for alcoholism.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading my little rant. Feel free to ask any questions if you feel like something doesn’t make sense because I came up with stuff as I wrote.
Lily van der Woodsen
Do you think it was a good mom? They feel that maybe she lacked more character and maybe she was a little more nosy in the lives of her children but still if I consider that she was not bad.
I also think she is the most beautiful person in the whole series, she is literally a jewel, delicate, always so beautiful and arranged with her angelic face (although she is not😂), I love her
High school life in nyc how it compares to gossip girl etc
High school life in nyc how it compares to gossip girl etc
Hi all, can I ask people who went to high school in NYC what your experience was like and how it compared to Gossip Girl? Were there bullies and if so what did they do? Were you allowed to have phones in class or at school? Did girls wear high heels? Did anyone wear designer or what did everyone wear? What were parties like and was everyone drinking underage
Thanks so much
Same person different font
I said what I said.
Blair is less campy than Chanel (Scream Queens), but they are essentially the same person.
Why did she start talking like this
I cringe literally anytime I see her talk like this. She didn’t speak like this in season 1 🙊
Gossip Girl as a "Low Cortisol" TV Show
There's a trend going on in Tiktok where people are recommending watching a "low cortisol" tv show every morning to kind of set the tone for your day. Would Gossip Girl fit this criteria? I've only seen clips on Tiktok so I'm familiar with the characters but I'm not too familiar with the overarching story line.

Unfortunately the polls on reddit allow only six choices, so I made a strawpoll with all the performances. Enjoy and discuss : )
Just starting my rewatch from the very beginning
and thoroughly enjoying it but just remembered I have to grit my teeth through the Vanessa storylines - not sure if I’ll make it 😭
Eleanor Waldorf gem: Princess Sophie, Welcome to our tasteful and appropriate home.
Never will I forget this in the episode where the princess of Monaco comes to meet the Waldorfs in their penthouse.
And I think about this all the time.
What are your favourite gems from her ?
Would chuck & Blair ever tell kids what they did
Would chuck and Blair ever tell their kids how they acted in high school or what they did like the scheme and bad things or would they want kids to be nicer than they both were at school. So would keep it secret from kids
How Blair bullied people at school etc but she knew she did Like nelly Yuki and stuff Would she tell them that or want her kids to be slightly nicer
And all the stuff chuck did would chuck tell them
Why does every girl love Dan?
It seems like every girl in the show who even just sees Dan falls in love with him. Hes cute (don’t wanna say anything about the actors appearance) but hes so annoying, akward, and pretentious. He constantly acts like hes better than the rest of the cast since hes from brooklyn and writes articles instead of shopping, yet hes constantly involving himself in the drama… and hes not charming enough (or at all) for the girls to be able to ignore his annoying ass personality. I thought his character would develop throughout the seasons but im at the end of season 4 now and he still the SAME😭
I’d like a Dan lover to try and change my opinion because I really wanna see why everyone loves him, maybe yall are seeing something im not
An incredible surprise that nobody in my real life understands 😭
So for my 30th birthday my mum took me to NYC to see a couple of broadway shows and to OF COURSE see Gossip Girl locations!! We just got here and I have a lot planned but once we got to Moulin Rouge and I read the Playbill I realized TRIP VAN DER BILT is playing Christian (an important part) and I freaked out telling my mum that its an extra Gossip Girl surprise that I hadn’t planned but she doesn’t get it 😭 I hope some of you guys can share in my joy! 💕
My unpopular opinion: Nate DID love Blair
Maybe for a short time, but he did imo. I’m rewatching season 1 and I feel like Nate really loved her and actually cared about their relationship. Like in ep 10 when he punched Carter, also ep 12 when he denounces himself because he thinks Blair is the one who organized the pool thing at their school.
Obviously they split because he discovered that she slept with Chuck, but for like 3 episodes they were cute
This was the episode where Blair realized that Jenny Humphrey wasn't just "Little Jenny." I love how she doesn't let the girls get to her.
Which is the Ivy Dickens of cities?

Best Male Characters?
Honestly, all of them are terrible in their own way, but which characters do you think are the least?
