The dragged storyline of Kai Parker

Kai is one of, if not my most favourite character in the show but I can't help but find his appearance and then eventual death in Legacies unnecessary? The dragged out his character for no reason in my opinion. Although I loved his return in season 8 of tvd I feel like his story should've just ended there with him being forever in prison world or going down with hell. What are your guys thoughts?

My family is weird..

Hi guys im sorry if this is a normal thing but im really confused and want to know others opinions.

So i 17F kind of live in a toxic and abusive household. My parents will cuss at me and my brother for the smallest things and then act all sweet and normal with us RIGHT after. And it's not even that they normally scold us, they say the most gut-wrenching things and even go as far as saying they'll kill us or that we will be beggars who won't get food in the future. But it's gets extremely annoying that after an hour or so without even apologising they start acting normally and when you bring up what they said, they'll brush it off as if it was all a joke. Because of this I also feel guilty for staying mad at them for too long because then I will be the only bitter one when everyone else has moved on as if it was nothing. I don't know guys but this is really suffocating for me.
