Ranking easy modes

Just wondering what easy modes people have come up with and how much easier it makes the quests. As a fun thought exercise, let's try ranking them with difficulty rating reduction.

The intro quest was 3/10? and The fortress of nurn is 10/10, the black gate open was 9/10 I think? So given the difficult ratings, how much the easy modes reduce the difficulty of quests of average.

  1. Remove the red encounter cards. I never tried this before. But I imagine it would drop difficulty by 2, 3 ⭐ easily.

  2. Grace of the Valar: If you lose, you gain a certain number of grace tokens. When you restart the quest, draw 1 card or add 1 resource to the resource pool of a hero you control. Note I didn't come up with this one.

This depends on how many grace tokens you have of course, so I think:

1 token: ~half a ⭐

2 token: 1 ⭐

3 token: 2 ⭐.

  1. Start with Mendor: this is one I come up with for myself ( did this once for Battle of Carn Durn), I vaguely remember the flavour text at the end of Core campaign said Mendor thanked me and offered to helped whenever I needed so I just took it at face value and assumed that's allowed haha.

Anyway, I think Mendor is worth 1.5 ⭐

Side note: I think making Mendor start with 2 damages would make this easy mode a bit more interesting.

What other options are there and what are they worth?
