This is not a joke or an insignificant issue

Imagine ... A country doesn't like an app, the government threatens google, google revokes the developers signing keys ... And now the app can't be installed on any android device in the entire world.

This isn't a conspiracy theory, it's a very real , very close threat.

DO NOT SIGN UP if this gets implemented, fight the urge to submit for the sake of publishing one app.

Read the letter for more details.

Godaddy seems to reserve domains you search for but not buy

A little over a year ago i was testing the viability of a brand name for my business, i checked multiple times for domain name availability in go daddy (not that i had planned to buy from them) ... A few months later i checked the same name elsewhere and it turned out not available, i tried to go to the site and turns out the domain name was reserved by godaddy, so it went from 15$ when i was first checking ... To 2000$.

A while later .. I tried again with another domain name and for the sake of testing i also checked in two other subregistrars that i knew were owned by godaddy , i checked the same domain multiple times without buying ... Low and bold a month later that domain name was reserved by godaddy and was on sale for 3000$ !!!!

I ve never been one for conspiracy theories but this just doesn't feel right, are there no regulation for registrars randomly reserving domain names ???

openrouter_sdk | Dart package

openrouter_sdk is a new Dart package providing a type-safe client for the OpenRouter.ai REST API. Strongly-typed interface, with full support for streaming responses and multi-modal content (text, image, audio, video, file).

This package replaces openrouter_api, which is now discontinued and marked as replaced on pub.dev. Users of the old package should migrate to openrouter_sdk, which follows the design of OpenRouter's official SDK more closely.

Currently implemented:

• Chat completions (including streaming)

• Models, Providers, Endpoints

•API key management (create / update / delete / list)

• Credits and analytics

• Generations

The rest will be added shortly.

The chat completions endpoint should be OpenAi compatible so u can use it with other providers as well.

Contributions are welcome. Per the package's policy, all code must be hand-written — LLM-generated pull requests are not accepted.

Note: this post was partly generated by an LLM, but all package code was hand-written.

The "AI involvement" mod comment needs to be more specific

The comment needs to be much more specific to actually be useful, peofle are just pulling ambiguous replies out of their asses and not providing the information we need.

First ... It must demand answers for "post" and "project" seperatly.

Second ... It needs to be more explicit with regard to the degree of ai involvement.

My suggestion :

> how much of this post generated by AI?

> what percentage of the code of this project was generated by an LLM?

And answers that avoid the point need to result in the deletion of the post, it's not enough to just reply with whatever.

looking for a painless music stack

i m familiar with jellyfin and navidrome fro the purposes of library management.

but what i want is a way to be able to search for tracks and have them downloaded (HIFI) and added to the library in the most painless and seemless way. just like how it works with the movies and shows stack.

and preferably a way to get suggestions and song radios based on my library.

i know it's lazy of me, but i ve been browsing through similar posts and it made my head hurt, i'm used to simpler ways of getting and managing my media.

Pub is slowely turning into npm, and thats bad

Packages for doing basic animations, utility class packages, duplicate functionality packages ...etc.\

I feel like pub.dev is slowely getting filled with spam packages that do very basic stuff and get abandoned after a couple of versions.\

And it's getting exacerbated by vibe coding, and as far as i can tell ... There is no security checks for the packages being published aside from basic analysis, pub needs to evolve to check for potential harmful code and security vulnerabilities, especially for pakcages with hooks enabled.\

Every week there is a major supply chain attack in npm, but we don't hear anything about such instances with pub.dev, but they definitly exist, even if only statistically.\

I hope the dart team would focus on evolving the security of the dart ecosystem, and i think pub is the first step on that journey.
