Finally did it.
Six years of “someday”… zero years of impulse control! Ha ha Sundance Optima 880 now lives in my backyard like it pays rent.
View of Rocky Mountains, stars, and just enough steam to hide the fact that I have no idea what I’m doing with alkalinity levels yet… ha!
Look, I used to be a normal person… Grilled up some chicken, maybe a burger, call it a day. Then I bought a Blackstone and now I genuinely cannot be trusted around a flat top and a bag of shredded cheese!!!
The damage so far:
**Chicken fried rice… 10/10 soooo fast and easy and my entire family was blow away…
**Navajo tacos… 11/10** fry bread on the griddle with dessert scones of honey butter and cinnamon sugar…
**Smashburgers…** 10/10 that lacy crispy edge lives in my dreams now
**Smashed tacos…** 10/10 cheese crisped directly onto the tortilla… pure gas
**Philly cheesesteak… 12/10** Whiz optional, my restraint is not. These are absolutely deranged good!!!
At this point I’m just a man standing in his backyard at 6pm on a Tuesday, scraper in one hand, existential crisis in the other, wondering what beautiful greasy nonsense I can make next.
I need more ideas before this thing consumes what’s left of my identity.
