Mothers helper advice

My husband and I have no family nearby and have done 2.5 years completely solo with our son. I’m now 7 months pregnant with our second, my husband travels a lot for work, and we finally hired a part-time nanny/mother’s helper to survive the newborn transition.

She’s willing to help with kid stuff + light housework and now I’m realizing… I genuinely don’t know how to use help because we’ve never had any 😅

Right now she’ll:
help with my toddler
clean up kitchen/playroom
do kid laundry/baby laundry

But I weirdly feel guilty asking someone to do things while I’m also home, even though logically I know we hired help for a reason.

If you’ve had part-time help what ended up being MOST helpful? what things did you have them help with?
did you feel awkward/guilty at first?
