downgrading 2016 LG K10 using LG UP?

downgrading 2016 LG K10 using LG UP?

after doing some research on trying to root the LG K10 from 2016 (KS428SG), i apparently need to downgrade the firmware to an older version otherwise it won't work because of some security update. the version is supposed to be before 10f from December 2016 or earlier or something, and my K10 was in the 20f firmware, which was from May 2017.

so tried to flash a .kdz file with a patched version of LG UP, but it gives me this error saying "unsecure flashing image" to "secure flashing image." i selected the 'Partion DL" option, which didn't work, and isn't sure about the others.

any solution?

"unknown command" error when trying to flash custom recovery on LG K10 K428

i'm having an issue where i can't install a custom recovery to my LG K10 K428. no matter if i try this with my computer or other android device, every time i attempt to flash the recovery image, both give me this "unknown command" message and then a "command failed" error, and the recovery image doesn't flash. and yes, i unlocked the bootloader

is there a solution to this?

did it properly and i got it to work 😋

after not rooting this phone properly from months prior, i managed to install TWRP on my U.S. Cellular Galaxy S3 and flashed SuperSU on it, where it's finally rooted and i was now able to remove the carrier branding from the startup screen and change the sound!

and yes, i used some sounds that the S4 used because why not. the S2 used sounds from the S3 once it upgraded to 4.1.2, so i figured to do that with my S3, that upgraded to 4.4.2, but with the S4's sounds instead. even added the shutdown sound too, which was from the near-ending part of the Over the Horizon theme from 2013 to 2014 because yes
