Mercedes Corporate Case Closed: Trapped in a $984/mo EQB250 Lease with a 2027 Recall Timeline

I wanted to share my experience to see if any other EQB lessees are facing this. My company leases a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB250 in North Carolina. It is wrapped up in the NHTSA high-voltage battery fire recall.

Mercedes Corporate extended a lowball "Goodwill Offer" of $7,500 cash in exchange for a total liability release waiver. When I rejected it and demanded a clean lease termination, my case manager flatly replied: "As your vehicle does not qualify for repurchase... There are no further offers to be made. MBUSA will close your case at this time."

Here is the kicker: Mercedes formally admitted in writing that the recall repair parts won't be ready until January 2027. My lease ends in March 2027. They are forcing a business consumer to pay full luxury prices for a crippled vehicle that can't be parked inside and is permanently restricted to an 80% charge capacity for nearly a full year.

I am refusing to back down and am currently mailing a formal demand letter via Certified Mail to their corporate legal counsel in Sandy Springs while preparing a federal breach of warranty case under the Magnuson-Moss Act.

Has anyone else successfully broken their lease through the rumored EQB Lease Forgiveness program or by hiring an attorney? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I have been paying 4 years+ for a car that I've been complaining to the dealership about a bad battery, and they said it was "fine and in working order."
