We lost him to cancer😔

This dog. Wow. He was very much in tune with my husband at the emotional level. This dog could read you like a book and just "knew" how to approach you. He was very adventurous, loving, interactive with the world around him. Definitely used his nose a lot.

My husband rescued him from a puppy mill in Hope Mills, NC 12 years ago, they did EVERYTHING together... and said his heart will forever be in a million pieces 😭 He's definitely a hound of some sort. His hair was coarse. Had an underbite.

But what do you guys think. Redbone mix? German shep mix maybe?

Paid gig/Indie - Military firefight

(Posting for my husband since he doesn't have reddit)

Looking for an experienced artist

I’m currently working on a short military/action film and I’m looking to connect with a VFX artist who might be interested in helping with some weapons-related effects.

We’re still in the editing phase right now, and we have a couple of pickup shoots left, so the film isn’t totally locked yet. But I’d like to start talking with someone now, or in the near future, so we can figure out what’s realistic and maybe start working on a few things as the cut comes together.

Most of the VFX work would be things like--

Muzzle flashes

Gas expansion/smoke from weapons firing

Tracers

Bullet impacts

Dust/debris hits

Belt-fed links and shell casings for a machine gun

We shot most of the close ups with live/blanks.

The scene itself is pretty rough and short, probably only a a minute of action. Budget is tight, I could potentially do something like a monthly rate around $1,200 depending on the scope, schedule, and what we agree on.

I do have an unlisted rough cut on YT showing some of the firefight that you can watch and get an idea of. If interested, please comment or DM with your reel, examples of weapons/action VFX, rates, and availability.

Thank you!
