Riiffs Mahab - Amouage Guidance DNA at a fraction of the price

Red fruits and spicy fennel opening with incense running underneath, dries down to a creamy peach, rose and sandalwood base. About 90% similar to Amouage Guidance DNA but sweeter and more approachable.

Performance is genuinely impressive, strong projection for 3-4 hours, lasts all day. Got asked what I was wearing twice in one evening.

Leans unisex but women own this effortlessly. Best for evenings and cooler weather. The bottle looks incredible too.

Scent: 9.5/10 | Longevity: 9/10 | Value: 10/10

If Guidance is out of budget, this is the answer. Easy recommendation.

Okay I need to know if this is just me.

I have been studying Arabic for about 5 months now. I can read the script, I understand basic grammar, I know enough vocabulary to form simple sentences. On paper I should be able to have a basic conversation. But the second someone actually speaks to me in Arabic my brain just shuts down completely. Every word I know vanishes. I end up nodding and smiling like an idiot.

It happened again last week. Someone at work found out I was learning Arabic and got excited, started speaking to me and I just stood there frozen. I knew some of those words. I just could not get my mouth to work fast enough.

The problem I figured out is I study Arabic silently. Always. Reading, writing, Anki cards, listening. Almost never actually producing sounds out loud. My brain knows Arabic as a reading language, not a speaking language.

So I started forcing myself to speak out loud every single day even if it is just me alone in my room talking to myself. I also started using Issen for speaking practice since I have nobody around to actually have Arabic conversations with. It is awkward and my sentences are slow and broken but honestly even a few weeks of this has helped more than the previous 4 months of silent studying.

The freeze is not a knowledge problem. It is a practice problem. You cannot read your way to speaking.

Does anyone else go through this? How did you finally get past the freeze?

Paper trading an FnO algo is not the same as testing whether your broker API behaves when market goes mad. This came up while cleaning an old pre-market checklist. Basic framing and execution risk explainer

My boring matrix now is Kite Connect / Dhan / Upstox / Fyers / Angel SmartAPI / IBKR / newer API-first infra. Columns are not brokerage. They are: sandbox or UAT realism, TOTP/login flow, disclosed rate limits, WebSocket reconnect behaviour, modify/cancel latency, partial fill handling, margin-position sync, live/historical options data, Greeks, and what happens to a 4-leg BankNifty basket near expiry.

Actionable test before live: run the same script in sandbox/UAT for 5 sessions, log signal time → order ack → fill → position sync, force a WebSocket disconnect, send one invalid order, modify/cancel fast, and reconcile broker positions every 5 sec. I’d reject if p95 ack is all over the place, reconnect takes >30 sec, rejects are unclear, or positions don’t match after partial fills. Also checking Nubra’s API docs because they claim UAT-live parity/Greeks. Thoughts?
