warehouse delivery system.

I’ve noticed that the Bubly sparkling water shelf at my store is frequently empty or poorly stocked lately. Back when it was handled through DSD (Direct Store Delivery), we consistently had full displays and good visibility. Now it feels like a billion-dollar brand is being managed by team members earning around $16/hour with little incentive to prioritize it, and the difference is noticeable.
Curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing in their stores — empty shelves, minimal or no displays, etc.?

What’s one thing that would improve your day to day.

The guys I know have been finding day-to-day life increasingly difficult lately. What’s one thing that could genuinely make it better?

Reviewed the weekend manifest today — a gas station was scheduled first, ahead of two grocery stores. I see this almost every day. Out of state routing is a failure.

I would bring back local routing. It will never be perfect but I haven’t seen it this bad in my 11 years.

Walmarts new soda

They need Walmart’s volume, so they play ball on collaborative inventory. But they know Walmart is happy to eat their lunch with cheaper knockoffs whenever it makes sense. Walmart’s argument is consumer-focused: lower prices and more choice. Critics say it squeezes brands and can reduce long-term innovation.
