The backlash is insane, and disheartening. I can’t pretend it’s not getting to me.

If IGN had rated this anywhere from 7/10 to 9/10,
Do you think this game would have received the same kind of backlash?

It feels like everyone is presently dogging on this game. It’s strange because I immediately recognised it as something of substance during and after my first play through. I think this is a great game by all regards.

Though my trust in my taste has been rocked by just how much people seem to froth at the mouth with hatred for it. Ultimately I have come to feel slightly alienated and resentful of the gaming community at large even though the gamergate crowd is a small, unbearably loud and malicious minority. I don’t like that I feel this way, but it’s the truth.

And it’s put me in a weird position where because the discourse is so insane and based on bad faith arguments, that I’m having a hard time admitting the faults and flaws of the game. There is a conversation to be had about how so much of the entertainment industry/gaming industry relies on the wealth of nepotism, or the originality of the story, or about what constitutes an indie game. But ultimately, I find it impossible to have an actual conversation about these things while the discourse is so incredibly toxic and angry as it is now.

Film Testing my Ancient Rolleiflex Compur 622

I decided to film test the near 100 year old Rolleiflex I picked up at the market last Sunday. Got my scans back today and I have to say that I think I know why you guys like these cameras so much!

Just want to say I know these aren’t great photos, Just wanted to test that it was working :)

Picked up at a market for £100. How did I do?

I picked up what looks like an ancient Rolleiflex at a market last Sunday. From what I can see, the lens and the rear glass look clean, the faster shutter speeds all sound solid. Could anyone tell me a little bit about this camera/what quirks I should look out for? Or if it’s even worth holding onto long term?
