Hi guys this is gonna be my first restoration project, it's a free Spirit mixte bike, I got it on Facebook for 30bucks and I've shown some photos, is there anything I should know about bikes this old, my only experience with bikes are more modern ones like the one I rode back home with along with this mixte on my backpack, it has Shimano skylark derailleur and sugino japan cranks and uses those bar end shifter looking things

I've read around that the free Spirit brand is a shitty sears bike that may or may not be worth restoring depending on how you look at it but does it being a mixte make a difference? If I were to restore this is there anything I should know? Someone is selling this for 30 bucks near me

Might buy this bike for 50 bucks and try to give it a tuneup and try to modernize it a little but I'm not sure what model it is, all I could get from the pictures are nishiki mountain series and I can't find anything other than that
