I saw these while looking on FB marketplace, I assumed it was cd storage... But now I'm doubtful. What is this compartment actually for?
Edit: your comments are killing me! 😭 I know what a cd is, I listen to music on cd and still watch movies on cd and a few on VCR😭 I was just confused as to why they put cd storage on an office desk, so I assumed it might be for something else.

The bedroom light flashes just before 11pm for 3 minutes
Heavy metal, magnet sticks to it, top and bottom are threaded caps, top cap has a threaded nut on it as well, center outer pipe swivels around the caged opening.

I found this in the surf while walking the beach at Sandy Hook in Gateway National Recreation Area in New Jersey on Monday. It looks eerily (lol) like an ear. I don't think its made of clay but maybe some sort of stone?

Found this on the floor in my house, one of the cats must have pulled it out from somewhere, but nobody has any clue what it could be. Soft hot pink silicone about 1 inch in diameter, nipple seems designed to be pressed in and will stay that way until popped back out. Smooth inside, doesn’t seem to be designed as a cap for anything.

nowhere else in the car, and she didn’t have anything splash. also not sticky & doesn’t rub off. just feels like its part of the plastic

* EXPLANATION *
so i got home late lastnight around 1am, throughout the night i heard loud bangs like almost shuddering my flat. i didn’t think anything of it as in my estate there’s always weird noises at night etc.
the loud bangs weren’t all at once almost staggered through the evening. my dog, who is very reactive always barking if he sees someone walking past, wouldn’t leave my side and slept with me all night. (which he never does) he didn’t bark at all… just glued to my side all night.
i woke up to take him out this morning and found this (see picture attached) it’s like someone had hit my wall lastnight (the bangs)
but why did my dog bark? why couldn’t i hear anyone outside? what has it been hit with?
i said axe but a few people have said a clever etc i’m not sure at all i’m 22f and i’m terrified
