I spent a month interviewing designers on what they are missing in design learning — here's what I built from it
Hey r/learndesign 👋
My name is Mónica, and I've spent almost 10 years working as a designer across healthcare, social impact and humanitarian contexts — with organisations like UNICEF and iDE Global.
Over the past month I ran surveys, interviews and listening sessions with designers working in these spaces to understand how people are actually learning and developing their practice.
So I translated those insights into something concrete — a small learning community called Design Fieldnotes.
The idea: a practice-based space where designers can work through real cases, join workshops and feedback sessions, and learn collaboratively through complexity. Membership is €120/year, kept intentionally accessible.
We're also hosting a few open sessions soon to explore real topics together before committing to anything.
Would love to connect with people here who feel that gap too — and very open to feedback on the idea.
