Should I follow up or move on after this interview?

I wanted to ask other nannies — if a family interviews you and then goes quiet after, do you usually take that as a no?
I interviewed first with the dad, then later with the mom as well. (2weeks ago) During the interview the dad told me he liked me, and overall I thought it went well, although the mom seemed a little more reserved/shy so it was harder to read her reaction.
They’re currently abroad and moving to the US in July, and I’m also relocating states around the same time, so I’m wondering if maybe they’re just taking their time because the move is still a couple months away.
After the second interview I haven’t really heard anything, and now I’m overthinking it. Part of me feels like if a family really wanted me, they’d make it obvious and move forward quickly. But another part of me thinks maybe since they’re not even in the US yet, the timeline is just slower.
Do you guys usually follow up with families after interviews, or do you just leave it alone and assume no response means they chose someone else?

Nanny is south Florida

Hi everyone, I’m wondering how people are making it work financially in the Boca Raton area right now. I’ve applied to around 30 jobs over the last few days and haven’t had much luck yet. Most positions I’m seeing are around $18–20/hour, but with two kids that honestly feels really hard to survive on here.plus there are only very little job posted on websites like care.com. I am currently in VA and make 30-35/hour
Are families hiring private nannies at higher rates in Boca/Delray/Fort Lauderdale, or has the market slowed down?
Any advice, leads, or insight would really help. Thank you!
