Ive had a 2026 EV9 for 10 days. I set up a “password for driver” just like 4 days ago, but I didnt know what it was for. What is is the purpose of the password? It seems annoying. Now the car wont start without it, its kind of a pain. I get its an extra security thing? But is there any other perks to it?
And what is the fingerprint thing? Is that to do instead of a password? I havent set that up yet.
Feedback on the ‘pros’ im missing on having a password to start your car. Ty!

Im a 41F, [CA] my soon to be ex hubs 45M will be moving out this week. We just told the kids last night.
When we talk about custody, he wants to rotate the kids full weekends. I prefer to have them something like Wed-Sat night, and him Sat night through Wed.
He said thats not what he wants, and that we both need a full weekend with the kids. I dont want to not see my kids for a whole weekend. But ill do whats best for them.
What, in your experience, is the best arrangement?
Kids are 9, 11, 16. Saturdays they have sports all day, so we’d see each other regardless. Ty!
