How do I keep my cories from uprooting my stem plants??
Like the title says… how to I plant the stem plants in a way that the cories won’t uproot? I’ve tried using the plant weights to keep them down, but the stems are so fragile that they break when the cories are rooting around them.
Do I use rocks? Something else?? What do you all do/use??

Help for inflamed scales?
Parameters: chlorine = 0, nitrite =0, nitrate = 25, & pH = 6.8.
So, this is Lil’ Bubly. About a month ago, I noticed he was injured along his right side (that’s the second picture). There’s nothing in his tank other than java ferns & driftwood, and the sponge filters, so I don’t know how he could have hurt himself other than maybe wedging himself between the glass and one of the sponges?
So, I did a 50% water change, then a series of Kanaplex treatments (dosage according by tank size, every other day, for a total of 3 doses), & he started improving immediately. Two days after the last dose, I did a 50% water change, and he looked completely back to his old self.
Just a few days ago, I noticed the inflammation was back, so I’m re-doing the Kanaplex routine, but I want to know A) what is happening, & B) what else to treat him with, because the Kanaplex just seems to be soothing it, not curing it.
So, help please! Any info would be greatly appreciated!
