when to see a doctor
Hello i am 19f. My periods are normally pretty mild, never have much pain or discomfort thankfully. they’re sometimes a little irregular, but nothing i was ever too worried about. Always had a light/medium flow
Well, once a few months ago, I suddenly got a very heavy period. soaking pads and tampons within an hour, passing very large blood clots. bigger than a quarter, multiple times an hour. this one only lasted a day or two, so i didn’t worry too much, just thought i had extra lining to shed.
my period this time started out pretty normal, little heavier than usual but nothing i was concerned about. periods fluctuate. but for the past 4 days, it’s been the very heavy one again. soaking ultra tampons in a half hour. passing multiple blood clots the size of my palm in an hour too.
i’m a lot more scared this time, as it doesn’t seem to be getting lighter or clearing up. i’m a little light headed, and i’m afraid i’m losing too much blood. this is very irregular for me and im unsure what to do.
i’d like to mention im not experiencing any pain, just very very mild cramping that is normal with my usual periods.
i’m not in a position where im comfortable with either of my parents or family members to bring it up, and i’m also in no position to be able to make my own appointment or even take myself to it. definitely couldn’t pay for it either.
i’m scared im ignoring something serious out of fear of embarrassment to ask to go see a doctor. i haven’t seen a doctor since i was a kid, never had a gyno appointment either.
any advice ??
