The Gate 2 Incident
Recently, Gate 2 has been closed. From what I have known, the reason it's been closed is because, Some people from certain groups (NSUI and ABVP people) were coming in SVNIT to initiate a protest against vulgarity of profs in SVNIT (mainly Prof Mehul), but were caught (no idea how) and hence for protection, Gate 2 has been closed, as Gate 2 is least protected gate and most easiest way to get in SVNIT. All you have to do is just walk in, no one question if you look like other students age group.
I say, it's done for better. SVNITians should be only one able to protest about SVNIT stuff, we don't need external backing. Am not telling anyone to start a protest. I'm all for making stuff work by just talking and complaining,which people are doing. Maybe if magnitude of complain increase, admins might take action.
In the end, students can't even belive on teachers too, as many of them would just tell the other prof which student told them, some might not. Who knows.
Ig best thing to do is use the Fabian Stratergy, just don't interact with the prof you see egoistic or just being a j*rk. Just stay silent, and let him go, then after placement or if lucky enough, after starting mtech from MoU in any iit, start complaining everything. Let the people know what SVNIT has.
Look, every clg has pros and cons. But it's admins job to lower the cons. If they don't listen to us, then they will face consequence. And we are not intrested in all VIT Bhopal aur LPU typa stuff, that harms temporarily. Hit the foundation, see them crumble. Students are the foundation of every clg. Just like romans did, don't engage with Hanibal, engage with his brothers in Spain. If spain falls, hanibals base of supply falls, and hence Hanibal is defeated.
