Guys, Gujarat state government just banned mobile phones in all college campuses 😭😭🥀🥀

Just when I was about to enter my first year, they start doing shit like this 😭😭

Now I am scared that whether they would allow a laptop in college campus or not for doing coding in free time 🥀🥀

Doubt about Chemical engineering

I have been getting industrial chemistry (NIT surat) in josaa since rounds 1&2 I was like 900 SC ranks away from getting chemical engineering in round 2, will I get it by the last rounds? While my initial goal was mechanical engineering in SVNIT but according to last year i would be missing out by 50 rank in the final round. Should I keep hope alive for mechanical and chemical? Or should I wait for csab.

I would also appreciate some reviews about the industrial chemistry branch if possible

Electrical or mechanical

Hello guys, I'm a guy sitting in JoSAA counselling this year. Abhi I've ended up with Mechanical engineering in the 2nd round. Mera Electrical few hundred ranks se reh Raha hai iss round mei, will probably get allotted electrical by next or next to next round. I wanted to ask for an 'of the top' comparison between the two courses. In case agar mujhe mechanical better Lage then I will freeze it (for now I have kept it as float). Any contributions?

I would prefer to have hostel Life bcoz nirma is more strict than even my schl but that isn't major factor for choosing i might join family business later so there's that so which will be better

Guys, what do you usually do in Surat while studying here?

Just curious because I'm doing my college outside Surat, but I've been living here for the last 4–5 years and apart from cafes and malls, I haven't found many interesting places to hang out.

Also what do you guys do at night when you're out of campus? Summer vacation has been incredibly boring for me in Surat, so I wanted to know how others spend their time here and if there are any hidden gems or activities I'm missing.

Would love to hear your suggestions and experiences!
